45K NZD and it seems cheap too. Recaro Audi 90 seats. Front clearance could be a compliance issue. Who knows if its as good underneath as it looks on top. Could be fun to find out for someone. LVVC & LHD permit.

That would work for me, I'll check with Steve to see if it is OK to turn up on his day off.

Be interesting to find out what reserve is Nik and if it makes it. LHD, looks pretty original....

Dan lives next door these days if its just a matter of picking up the keys. But pretty sure it will be do-able. Good plan.

That backdate looks great. Want it. But not enough time to get a proper inspection as it goes to auction tomorrow.

The 911T can be had for $100k. Is ex Wayne from Autothority. Goes to classic car auction in CHCH on Saturday.

Makes sense. Wayne wouldn't give it away and it's been for sale before, recently. I recognise the car now....

It does look good Jake. If it's an auction and it's as good as it looks will sell well above 3.6M yen I should think. Question on a car like this is how much would it cost to get on the road in NZ. Looking recently at compliance and LVVC could be fairly time consuming at a little expensive...

Default Targa 2015

Hello! Took me a long time to catch up on the thread last night. Lot's on around here

Targa was massive! Mark and I worked out we were in the car for over 3,100km's last week. That includes the drive home from Palmy. I know the co-driver's seat is well and truly moulded to my butt now.

First day was a washout for us and set us back for the rest of the event. The RHS inner CV smashed itself to pieces on the first Special Stage resulting in the car loosing drive and Mark looking for a place to park up as we rolled up a hill. Not ideal but we ended up in a driveway off the racing line and had a plum view of a very fast section of road.

Lucky it was a small field this year and we didn't have to wait too long to get a tow out. Shannon and Brendan did a sterling job of swapping the axle out on the side of the road behind Huntley and we made it back in minutes before Parc Ferme closed.

Apart from that, and ripping the LHS of the box section that the rear struts bolt into off the chassis that we had to get welded up in New Plymouth, we had a relatively trouble free run. 1,000km’s of Special Stages was huge though and punishing on the car. There’s seems to be more rattles and bangs than ever now.

I also got the opportunity to have my nephew out for the day with the crew around New Plymouth. He got a day off school and was seen by some school mates as he was heading out. That was cool. He was stoked and had a good day.

We have two rules for Targa. Rule 1: Finish Targa. Rule 2: See Rule 1.

Pretty simple but it keeps us on track and over the line in one piece.

Or someone could carefully store the Isetta's original drivetrain and throw a turboed Hayabusa or ZX14 mill in there. The ultimate sleeper but I suspect the driver would meet his maker on the first launch. Or more likely just turn us into the land of the long blue cloud...

Could just see it having run the Wangan wearing a Midnight Racing sticker back in their heyday.
