I'm away next weekend so can't make it.

I saw the car yesterday again, all glass is in, the interior is mostly in, only missing front bumpers and a few trims.

Is probably only a few weeks away now.........??

I thought your glass went in when Kev had the windscreen fitted to Herman? You've missed a whole Summer....

In mid June 2006 we did a similar mad dash from France to Nurburgring (8 hours and 850km) - got there at 6.30pm (was still light till 10.30pm)! then I did a few laps of the Ring, then 150km to Archen (where Jo lived for a number of years) for the night. It was just under 1100km all up!

Needless to say Jo still remembers that drive and has told me Never Again!

Heres my first Ring lap. 18 minutes lap in a 307 1.4L Diesel with three suitcases, a full tank of gas and a wife saying "slow down we arent insured" the whole way around the track (I have some of it on video LOL!).

Good news. Next time Im at the Ring a sub 10 minutes should be a reality LOL!

Paul, I hope they are giving you a whopping discount for the 7 months wait? What went wrong exactly? Did you have everything needed for them or was that there job to sort out?

Front windscreen and rear only, the doors needed reassembling, and rear quarter glass etc.

Don't get me started on the last sentence, I really do need to thank Pete and Chris for lending me their cars - a bit of Pcar sanity. A track day with the Honda's helps too.

Not going into it on line...........

Nothing against the painter, it's just that repaints are not core business.

The wait got so bad...........I nearly made a grievous mistake of purchasing a 964 2 weeks ago........Looked nice in the driveway though..........

Your patience is commendable. I'm on day 8 of no 911 and it's killing me. Doesn't help that the extension is out of my control and only due to part availability, and apparently there are no loan cars for me. That pink 964 cab looks better every day...

Awesome car you have in the RS2 and it leaves most Porsches behind on acceleration, but 'Boosted by Porsche' would be more accurate for the engine badge since it's a heavily fettled up 5 cylinder Audi block.

I see you're in Napier, so it probably wasn't yours but I checked one out closely at the last Ellerslie Concours. Nice and focussed compared to my allroad. Would've loved to have jumped in.

Hope to see yours in action sometime. There was a (yellow?) rally prepped one on TM that held my eye for a while.

Sam, did I miss the announcement? Are you a new Dad yet?

Thanks for posting these pics Macca. Been thinking bout flat/jelly bean colours and agree that they look good on a GT. So now tossing up between Sapphire Blue and White. SB I think looks good while clean and static but a video I saw of a SB GTS on the track didn't excite me. White will look better on the track I think and white cars usually look OK when dirty too. Decisions...
