Just curious as to why you would run a spacer, as apposed to having the correct offset on the front?

Would a et50 on the front be a better option? or is it down to the configuration of the 3 wheel parts that restrict what you can get in the offset department?

We could get 71mm rear lip/dish out the rears for the 993 on a 56 offset. I see yours is 62mm. Not sure if thats the max you can get (may be a 964 thing).

Remember any special finishes on the lip (anodizing of fancy chrome) will be an absolute PITA to repair should you curb or damage the wheels (even with tyre changes etc). Not even really easy to do paint repair on anodize. in the end this scared me away from the bronze lip and fancy finishes. On a show car yes but on a go car too much worry....

As standard there is only a range of fitments and the specs I posted are a best fit within that range. Better to run a small spacer than go with a wheel with to much offset and risk fouling. I will ask the wheel guy about custom fitments. I would like more dish, particularly in the rear 80-85mm would be perfect. They are three piece wheels so maybe something can be done.

These wheels are for posing mostly. I'll keep the cup's with track oriented tyres for the fun stuff

Just had a trawl through the sizing options and can now see the sizing limitations. Your kinda stuck as you say... The sweet spot for the front ET is right between the available sizes...

That video is a lot more full on than expected! That is one busy track day. That driver has *****, diving up the inside at the chicane is something I do on Project Cars but I wouldn't do it in my real life GT3!

I would if the parts arrive and Dan fitted them to the box.

Awesome John. Keep all this up, and before you know it, you and Dave will be running a custom shop out of Kohi!

Ditto that - I'm looking for a way to get the R down there.

This is nice for 60K. 2014 NZd new with 22k km and some nice upgrades. The traditional Defender has finished production. There will become classics like Longhoods ;-)

I think we will come close to 16,000km in the first year of owning the Cayenne, and this is supposed to be our long distance occasional vehicle. I'm a convert as is Donna. Depreciation is akin to catching a falling knife, but bought in the 20s it won't be significant in our case. I don't think a Defender has the same end use.
