Climb dance is brilliant - titanium cojones to aspire to. Also worth searching for Walter R foot cam - that gentleman can dance. Even N Lauda calls him a genius on wheels ( Genie auf Raeder)

other examples to be found.

That is an impressive list Warwick and really bringing Mr Black up to speed. Are you running 221s now? What pads are you running? Also, Mr Black I thought had either the cat bypassed or the sec muffler removed when I had him (the one on the RHS). So do you only have the rear muffler in place now?
John, what pads are you running? Did you find going to 221s significantly upped the work the pads needed to cope with?

Throwing the car around hard on track on Z221 accelerates failure if all weak/aging drivetrain components. Tie rods, wheel bearings, CVs, drive shafts, LSD friction plates, brake assemblies etc. lateral G increases by 0.2-0.30 over a road tyre in track. Also more aggressive camber needed etc. I found no need for pad upgrades but the faster and harder you go the greater the stresses on the car.

I run PFC08, which Matt Burton recommended. I'm very happy with them, although I understand that the pad composition have since changed/improved so they may be even better now.

The Z221s do stress the overall car more but I didn't notice any impact on brakes. I'd be more concerned about teaming Z221s up with an old suspension as it could lead to unpredictable handling.

Overall the Z221 is the best dollar / performance spent, but they can be rough on cars which is why Phil only ran them once on the 996TT.

As you become faster you will increase duress on the car. The SITT was the point for me where I knew I had to beef the car up if I wanted to track it more. I was mostly behind Matt, STeve & Chris in much more powerful cars. I can only remember Teretonga I was getting consistent into low 1.09, levels felt really quick, manfield consistent low 1.20s etc. after this event I upgraded all the last bushes, went new Rear arms with upgraded cartridge, did full rose jointed Lower arms and upgraded the brakes for good measure. Only got a couple more track days in the car before the GT3 took over track duties but when I come back to the 993 this time next year I need to spend some time setting it up real nice. I'd like to work towards knocking a second off at all tracks before treating myself to an engine up grade. Sub 16 HD, high 1.18s Manfield, late 1.47s Taupo and mid 1.08s Teretonga etc would be good.

Not running 221's yet. I've priced up a set. Mr Black already had that swan neck g-pipe replacing the secondary exhaust. I replace the cat at the same time I did the Steve Wong chip. So the only muffler left is the primary

He's running Pagid Orange and AP Racing PRF660 fluid. The fluid is cheaper than SRF and of a slightly higher spec. I believe its been rebranded as CP4660

Heres a pair of early 80's Recaro (from a Fiat 130 Abarth) that could look cool in a 70's/80's 911? They even recline as well.

Love those stories. Cars that get driven. I attempted outlaw on 993 in 2910 when I started my project but I don't think 993 is tight gen for outlaw just yet (and probably now never) unless you count RWB. Love it on the older cars. Not Si much if you want to go quick, more a Style and Soul thing. I think us middle age men have started towards these as they aren't about outright pace. When you were younger you wanted to go faster when you are older you want to cruise. hog vs sports bike analogy really. The signal when I get there is the 17 cups going back on with the comfort seats and rise the ride height lol
