Cleaver kit and installed pretty easily in a day (barring anything going wrong).
I have an easy way to keep 200m ahead of Lola, 221s and a few runs in the pebbles will have Lola keeping her distance.

More seriously if there is a PROVEN way to add 20% to a stock engine, then I'm in. I recall Macca had his doubts. The developers have 964s, F1 experience and motoring technology has moved on, BUT 20% is a lot to add when I believe the 964 motor was the bleeding edge for production car NA output at the time.

^^^ So what is the claimed new HP figures??

I agree with Macca - $3K for 20% more HP would give a 964 more HP than a 993 RS?? (and that's a 3.8) - sounds waaay to good to be true.......

Macca - given our cars are NVR's, and basically 964 engines, can we install these too??

^^^ I recall that being asked previously and the answer was no, not yet.

There are advantages apart from just horsepower but it is a while since I read up all about it.

BTW I've been meaning to ask you for ages. How have you increased the speed at which your rear spoiler deploys. That's a mod I like. Crazy that it deploys and upsets the nice lines at only 80k.

^^^^ now I recall. The kit also changes the airflow completely doing away with the old system. So the engine can breathe a lot more efficiently. It's more than just a chip upgrade.

Goes from 238hp to 283hp at flywheel. They have an article in 911 and Porsches world. Nov 14 edition.

Anything claiming 20% with bolt on aftermarket parts for a naturally aspirated flat 6 porsche engine is absolute horse **** IMO. You can't get much more than 12% on the 993 engine with motec cams and exhaust.

Happy to bet $500 on a before and after dyno on Herman on a dynopack that your money doesn't give you 50bhp john.

Not saving it's not worth doing - for such a low outlay I would have done it already even if it "only" gave 25bhp.

The best I can imagine is you will get to around 285 bhp same as varioram 993 and similar to what Paul and I make.

There in lies the issue. Add 25-35 bhp to your wagon and you should be 2s faster than la at HD and dicing it up with Paul and my 993s in the .16s. It's putting it on the line I guess!!!

I haven't read the article but it's still suspect. Isn't the 964 supposed to make 250bhp flywheel. Maybe there one has a bad air flap in the first place? I crossed posted when you wrote this but even us 283 is possible it's not 20% and I'd say this is the most you could see from such a system. Porsche left little on the floor with the 3.6 unless you want to use tech and motec etc which starts to cost mega bucks. To get this engine above 100 bhp a litre look up rothsports and make sure you are packing 50 large nzd. The 991 GT3 and 358 Speciale are pushing the cutting edge tech at 128+ but it's a total redesign to get there...

What $ quotes are you getting?
USD305 for Exhaust Mufflers, USD400 with X-pipe.

I haven't got the quote for rims yet.

20% power gain would have you up for a LVV cert too, for significant additional hassle.
