OK, I've just had a quick check online at the specs and going price for a D700 and it looks a bit serious for me! Thanks anyway.

Your in luck. It was a D7000. Havent found the camera yet but found the boxes and manuals. I was thinking $550 with 35mm lens, brand new genuine second battery and a bunch of accessories. Its basically new that I remember but I need to find it first to make sure....let me know if of interest.

Other items that may be of interest include "Project 928" Book with mint jacket and Porsche Poster book (original edition by leweneski). Also brand new in box 4 sensor rear parking kit (Cobra made in Italy same brand as Porsche use). This is the one with the small euro style round sensors can be painted. I need to spend a full day down there to sort it all out. Will be around 30 x 1:18 models including some vintage tamiya RC gear like last time all of which proved hugely popular. Also some vintage sunglasses including a vry mice original pair of WHY3 with Titanium alloy frame and blue lenses complete with everything including original 2000 brochuer. Very nice.

Here's a story for you. Popped into the shop that sells car spares on Sandringham road corner of Royal Terrace today. One of the few landmarks from my childhood I vividly remember which is still operating today. It used to occupy the whole retail frontage but these days the corner shop is rented to LJ Hooker. Ive never ventured inside as over the last 30 years its been mostly closed when I have passed. How does a place stay open so long selling hub caps and car seats?

So I wandered in and talked to the old boy who owns it. Hes 66 and been working there since he was 22. He inherited it from his old man a few years back when the old boy kicked the bucket. We got talking. I love these old boys, totally un PC, tell it like it is old school guys. Speak my language. We talked everything except religion. Immigration, Politics and Car parts.Jo and little Sis finally dragged me away. I said to him where does he make his sales, surely cant be enough in it to pay the council rates! Tells me the business has been operating in the same place since the war and was freehold years ago. latest CV was 3 mill for the land alone. 1 acre on Sandringham Main Road - commercial zone, next to Eden Park and oppiside the Kingsland train station!! Great place. Cars and bits of broken gear all over the place. Heres a few pictures. He just turns up to keep busy these days. Im sure it will get sold son. When the old man died he rented out half the shop front to pay the rates so it wipes its *** these days. Gotta love these old timer stories. Its the second such story Ive come across in a week in NZ. That block will be sold within 5-10 years and will be some apartment buildings no doubt. Good luck any Porsche driving property developer doing a deal with the old boy mind you. Hes as hard as nails! Real life Steptoe & Sons.

Sorry I didn't call in for a beer. Had women in tow and chores to run otherwise would have been there with bells on....

Oooooooooh - nearly a sub $30K Cayman - this would have to be the first (even for a FOB)

Quite a high-spec car being a 3.4S

Test fitting for clearance, height, accessibility to the rear for kiddies etc. Back out later this week and final fit.

Macca if you are able to/have time to take some pics of your 993 and email me the mounting points etc that would be great.

Bolt holes used on the rails front and rear and number of bolts. 2 per rail or 3?

Orientation of the forward after adjuster. It can go one way or the other.

Seatback mounting point. I'm assuming its on the tunnel side rear bolt.

Also do you have the part number or description for the eyelits that go into the rear parcel shelf for the harnesses? Do you use a 4 or 5 point harness?

Anything else you think I've forgotten

^^^ Nice......, I was wondering how you were getting the kids in the back, how far forward do they slide??

All us 993 owners are very envious of your black interior.
