Doug - been looking at the RS60 a bit more since you pulled the trigger. It's a seriously tasty machine and all the extras will suit you perfectly. I love the full red leather interior - more so than this one from the Porsche museum - the original concept for the Boxster. When I saw it in the flesh I thought there's an interior that only Doug could love!!
I'm very excited. Been reading every review I can find. One complained that the sports seats were too hard (must have been a soft reviewer ha ha). Trying to remember if your Cayman has the hard backed sports seats? How do you find them?

Yes, search this thread for Marsden Rowing Club or USA freight. They brought in a 40' container as a fundraiser charging only US$5 per square foot. They had enough interest to do it again early next year.
LOL, the concept is typically OTT. That's a pretty ugly interrior there but I guess back in the early 90's it caused a bit of a sensation.

Doug - seriously the sports seats are the comfiest seats I've had in any p-car. I presume they are the same in the cayman with adjustable upper and lower seat bolsters so you can tailor the seat any which way you want.

996.1 GT3 relisted http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used...-826630960.htm
They must have done a lot to it to match the description since Simon and I looked at it. Then again, a lot of hyperbole in the ad so take it with a grain of salt.
I still think a mint GT3 would look great in my garage, but this car isn't mint. In the meantime I'm doing some research into the Specialist Concepts 964 kit for Herman and hoping the Cayenne behaves on the 1,300km trip to see my Family. You just never know with a 10yr old car.

Are there confirmed details for this? I was a bit slow last time but keen to get an order in if it's happening again.

What $ quotes are you getting?
I think Steve R had a person enquiring about this car.

No, it was a passing comment when I thanked them for the first shipment. I said there was probably even more interest in a second one after people missing out on the first one. I for one would like to get a few heavyweight parts in like rotors, pads and more sets of tyres.

I could have bought the car for $51,000 about 6 months back. It once had a cage, had the cage taken out of it, a few choice parts, but didn't drive nicely. A clunky gear change and difficult clutch (maybe related). While not a bad buy, Steve R said it could easily cost a lot to sort out. It would have to have had those things sorted to warrant the asking price. Jon Pottinger knows the story. I believe it was imported for a person in the Bay's, had some fruit added then ended up in the hands of a builder who defaulted on payments to Marac. It was sold as a repossessed car to the previous seller for $48,000 who tried to make it saleable by removing the cage.
