Perfect. I arrive 7:35am then on to test drive and PPI so should be ready for a convoy to Kaikoura around mid-day ish

Doug. Last years Xmas pressie took 14 months from order to delivery Dec 06 2013. 11 days ain't so bad. It will be the 5th soon enough. Copious alcohol will help :-)

Christmas day is an apt time to finalise the deal on the RS60. Deal now done subject to PPI. I'm flying to Chch on 5th January for that, and to drive back to Northland. Crossing the ferry on the red eye on 6th January.
Had to do it so I could show Macca, Paul and John some of our stunning Northland B roads.
Expensive but I love all the juicy bits. Limited edition, classic colour scheme, hard back sport seats, full leather (yes red!) interrior with silver contrasts, grey seat belts, turbo gear shift, Spider dials, switchable sports exhaust, active suspension, 19" wheels, "RS60 spider" stainless sills, red tail lights, matching red softtop, front spoilers. Quite a nice list.

What an awesome selfie Xmas present Doug - even if borne out of adversity & necessity. You have really scored with this one - everything you had plus a bit extra in all departments - very special.

Thanks Pete. Yes pretty excited. I looked at a few options and kept coming back to this pretty rare opportunity. Wanting to get some summer runs in played into the decision to get on with it too. Hope your trip is going well. Where are you for Xmas day?

Was very strange sharing a restaurant with a room of Germans singing Xmas carols in German last night and not understanding a word! Like we say though - first world problems.
