It's bloody cheap isn't it? Could probably make a good Targa entrant too. I'm sure someone with the space will jump on this before the day is long...

Graham, I have drafted an article for this months Spiel. Without cutting and pasting the whole article - long story short:

The 2016 Porsche Festival is to be held over two three-day weekends of 15-17 January and 22-24 January 2016. Typically practice and qualifying will be held on the Friday with racing and car display events on the Saturday and Sunday.

If you can’t make all six days, Sunday 17 January 2016 is date to mark in your calendar as we want everyone to attend with your car(s). The Club will be going for the record of most Porsches in New Zealand assembled in one place (we are hoping for 250 + cars and maybe a tractor).

email me on paul@pjmprojects.co.nz and I will send you the registrations of interest flyer

With exporting (this should become more popular after the upcoming Total 911 article points the crowd of hungry UK buyers to NZ) the total stock number will reduce further the available stock. The UK market hot house couldn't take us there alone but a 10-20% depreciation in the Swiss pacific Franc will certainly help. Prices like the NZ dealer with the Cayman and especially the 991 GT3 for over twice its list price are highly speculative. I don't think anyone will pay 300k for a newly released RS but it's great to get you in the news...
Economics 101 in NZ is the interest rate Macca. I think I posted this about 30 pages back, but in the last 3 months interest rates have dropped from around 5.5% to 4.2% if the bank likes you. That’s a 25% drop meaning you can borrow 25% more for the same outlay.

This is what will fuel Pcar (and boat) demand for the next 12-18 months. It will also fuel the Alk property market with a 25% rise over the next 12 months as the minions who can afford a $1M house can now afford a $1.25M house with their new borrowing power, so will accordingly now pay $250K more for the same house.

Some are saying that we can expect another 0.5% off the OCR to reduce the number of Dairy Farmers that have mental breakdowns and/or commit suicide. This would give us rates starting with a 3 for the first time ever?? Almost free money?

Starting to get nervous that when the property market goes bang in 18 months to 3 years’ time, it's going to be quite a big one??

It's not the 3 litre engine, not sure what series it would run in? If it could still get a WOF it would be good for track days?

Builder reckons it was good for 1.11 at Puke. Sounds a bit optimistic. I spent last night with two Porsche racers putting in a plug for 944 racing. I still suspect it's an expensive way to get track time and to be fun the car needs to be competitive. Still it would be a drive at the Festival of Speed.

Not a silly idea for Arrow wheels series and the festival. But wouldn't be competitive in the Porsche race series as the S2's are already back of the pack. Fun track car though and the money has been spent with lightweight bits and adjustable suspension.

You could probably drop a 3L in it for around $7K?

We all know buying is the cheapest bit.

A spanner check, fluids, new pads and tyres - and you have just sneezed $4-5K.

Pete raises a good point - us non racing Pcar owners are going to need to figure out a solution for the Festival. Has anyone approached Razzo yet to see if he will lease some of his fleet?

I'm going to put Herman in the classic trials. Really keen to know exactly what events are when so I can plan. However I expect Road car owners are going too be mostly spectators. Actually I might see if we can put the Integras in the Classic trials as well.

I think this would be the first sub $20k 911. Ok I know the final bid could be higher and its a tipo but remember someone forked out over $200k for this old girl!
