drip feed Macca, I am still attracted to the +2 seating for a dd car (vs Cayman gt4/R). Production should be full swing for 2016 Euro delivery?

Before and after driving
Great photos Warwick. Was going to head down to meet a few of you, but decided to skive off with Doug and go for a drive instead.
The OCD side of me finds it hard when tasked with cleaning up the aftermath; took way too long to get all the cow excrement off. Also seems the tar spots on the back of my car are multiplying, I need a lesson in detailing...
Apologies Doug, clearly distracted by the driving when you were there and didn't take any photos of the Boxster! Here's one from a year ago when you could talk more people into going for a spin.

Pete is about to post a message re a RSG day on Saturday, 13 December. Last year this day was a financial drag on RSG so the Integras are taking three spaces to make it work. BB, BB2 and the Grinch.
BB's tyres are toast and I can't get down to HD to get some new ones fitted (logistically a nightmare) so she will be running a set of 15" wheels with Brand new Dunlop Direzza ZII tyres. As such, the times will not be for the existing leaderboard, but she could give the Vtec cars a fright.
Preferences to those that have not run for a while. No doubt the racers will take whatever is left. Btw as this is a RSG day the Playday cost will likely be $37 per session. Add $25 for consumables and $15 for fuel and you can budget $77 per session. Cheap as it gets.

Interesting. Its still a nice car in splendid condition. Sorry no, I was more taken with the long hoods to be honest. Only the one 993. A good number of 64s. Couple of 3.0 and a really interesting dark green RUF. I think it was an SC

I only just discovered SH16 and its periphery the last couple of weeks (not a Auckland native) and its a great road. Plenty of bugs and other contaminants but worth the clean up. Happy to run through some detailing techniques.

LHD 1993 Turbo 3.6 just sold at the Silverstone Auction for GBP 196,000 (NZD 388,000). Maybe Max isn't the only one drinking the cool aid?
Rennlist Member
Sorry, I was saying cool aid pricing in UK for 3.3 was 55-60K. He's definitely drinking the cool aid.
UK auctions are very buoyant as usual. Its good, its become the stock market for them. They need something to pique their economy.

Yep, got that. It was more a thought on the overall market madness.

Looking for pricing on the Escort radar detectors and found that they've released new dash mounted models. This looks very good for those interested: http://www.escortradar.com/passportmax2/#

We all need to be careful on the cars we are quoting.
Those cars going for huge money in the UK usually have low miles are concours or all original including paint.
They are not typical cars..........
An example I can give is a 2.7 brown Carrera sold for $217K USD.
I know it was for sale in Austrialia for $120K about 18 months ago and then was shipped to the US for a bare metal respray and new interior. Add in detailing etc, and surely no change out of $60-70K, so not sure anyone made money out of this example as it owes the owner $200K?

Yes - owners of 964 RS and 993 RS cars will have made an easy hundie in the last 18 months - but you can't report 1 - off's for stella examples as the market norm.

The red 993RS LHD sold at Silverstone auctions yesterday for 159K GBP plus premium (180K including). 159K GBP minus fees and marketing is what the seller received (maybe 145K GBP). Thats 290K NZD. Not too bad considering....
Here is the thread with the auction listings and debate.
