I remember that one Jamie and also have the pictures! The deer weighed about 110kg more than the fox unfortunately. Either way Im glad we dont have this problem on our tracks although I recall ducks at Manfield this year and I think I have seen bunny rabbits at on of the other NZ tracks whilst I have been circulating (could have been Teretonga).

As for attendance, I have to fly overseas for work on the second Sunday so I'm only looking at the first weekend. No dual sprints for me.
Thanks John. I seem to remember another post regarding something like this too but way too long ago to ever find.

I'm doing night shift on a rig in bum **** nowhere so hence my night postings when you all wake up!

How many are interested? Btw this is all dependent on BB bring able to run as is
I'm already entered with my own car, and more than keen to give BB a spanking too, given sufficient interest.

Barry Sapwell posted that there will be strict scrutineering. He may just be having a laugh but hard to tell over the net so may just leave it.

Just a note for those of you looking to save some weight on batteries:

Check this out: http://nz.mouser.com/ProductDetail/M...iPMLGhJHqAw%3d

0.6kg for 170CCA. You run one (or more) in parallel with a (much smaller) SLA battery.
Also have the option of dedicating it to starting only. Then your battery doesn't have to be sized for starting duty.

http://www.maxwell.com/esm/

Simple explanation: Batteries store energy, not power. Ultracaps store power, not energy.
Spec the battery for required storage capacity (Amp-hours) and the Ultracap for max current draw (CCA), and you have a very light reliable electron management system.

Cheers,
Mike

Price looked good for nz new car but mileage and deferred maintenance (possible gearbox and engine, definitely suspension etc) could run as much as acquisition price if someone were to buy it and run it regularly for another decade...

Very interesting. This whole field will change substantially in the next few years I suspect...

Could be a typo but the invoice says 964C2/S2 calipers. Assumed they were the same? With Carrera discs, looked at 930 upgrade, Steve felt this wasn't needed.
