I'm a strident believer in meritocracy. We each own 1/15th of BB and it's working well as is. It was my initial brain fade to do this, but I don't consider I have any more say than the other 14. We all put $200 in.

Sermon over, I think she has the core reliability to do some 2k cup duty without costing the group seat time or big expense, but I would want the fastest 2 drivers in her if the group decides it's a goer. With Chris out that brings Pete and Paul up. I will be back out in her soon enough to try and earn a place but right now I'm enjoying the experience.

That 3k euro seems like a good price for what you get... I just hope the instructors aren't the same ones driving the BMW ring taxis:

Ditto that - be fun to come along a crew for some others.

If it's getting 1.23 now then a crash diet would get it a second quicker surely. then what?

are pete and chris both running with the 2.5 or 3.0 variants?
3.0 for us. Mine's just embarking on a bit of a tear down ready for the race season... no such thing as 'budget'!

Great idea. Next best time takes the 2nd slot? Plenty of time for the remaining participants to set times with fresh brakes!

Yes but meritocracy doesn't work as 15 into 2 doesn't go. Just consider it an opportunity to redress the balance in the race for the RSG cup - with Paul holding an almost unassailable lead you need all the opportunity you can get!!

In fact with Paul as the other driver you could go head to head.

Matt. I think you can receive a further discount if you can book the session as a group (8 cars). Yes at least one of the instructors drive the Ring Taxi. Actually maybe two if you count Sabine! I think they give you your money back if they crash with you in the car (surprised it doesn't happen more often watching the way they drive when I was there!).

haha ring taxi.....nice post Matt, just goes to show it happens to the best of them so no need to feel back when something untoward happens

discount from 3k euro sounds good - may pay to move a bit of money now with the way kiwi could go in the next few months

Here is the vid of the 997 WRC RGT

Sequential sounds pretty good I must say.

Crikey, BB's brakes looked pretty toasted. Is that a safety concern? Were they on the brink of failure? Thanks to all who have put the effort in. I support John being a jockey in the 2T cup. Hopefully the car is still going in the summer when I might get a chance for a spin.

Popped into CCS today and Luke showed me the genuine 73RS in the basement. Awesome.

Speaking of new members, I just got stopped on Jervois Rd by the owner of the Toy Car Shop. Apparently he's doing up a 993 Turbo and has some interest in tracking it. I have his details but what is the latest on new joiners process? Does he just get in touch with you Peter? Be cool to see a 993 Turbo out with us.

Masa's car? It sold recently with less than 60,000km. It was/is in beautiful condition. You could not fault it.

I still intend to drive mine despite the value increase. Just need to get my calipers painted while my garage is shut in by scaffolding. Onto my third order of caliper decals. Some other parts are proving slow to arrive as well. Just small bits that are cosmetic but I want for the car to be as new e.g. Inner door handles. Lower seat belt corners.
