Of interest. Sounds like the GT4 Clubsport will be a unicorn. Word is initial 20 immediately to USA race teams, 20 to Manthy for Euro summer race season. After that it can be ordered ex Motorsports Dept PAG but no sales to individuals (race teams only). Countries with sanctioned series for the cars will be allow individual orders through the local Porsche importer, but only once "race teams" have their allocations satisfied. I think this is why historically NZ new Cup cars have been so infrequent (until Lyall Williams & co got allocation when GT3 Cup was run inter tasman in the early noughties).

No. US race teams actually paying more than Euro launch price for the car (140K USD base car). I know Manthy are charging clients a rumored 125K Euro for base car (as part of mandatory annual support package). Their spec includes 100L tank, Recaro halo seat and wet wheel package).

A mate of mine snapped a couple pics of a gt3 RS today while at the Hilton Taupo. He's not into cars at all so I was pretty surprised he even knew it was a Porsche let alone that I'd want to see it

That was the RS in CCS showroom when I was back there in late September. CCS have a driver training day on Wednesday & Thursday so that is what they will be there for....love to know how quick it goes!

As much as the wallet is hurting from the Herman refurb i'm not going to stop at one and this potential competition is a worry.

That Deer video was pretty messed up, Macca. I think I would have been more in shock from that than a coming to with another car. At least you expect an accident with another vehicle
