I reckon that guy with the Camo cap might be cracking the whip aye!!!

Seriously though Steve leaves for a few weeks in the UK tomorrow!! I'm actually surprised he was brave enough to contemplate the 1 hour in the first place....

Walt Singer have lifted those figures out of fiction!!!

Even Rothsports most exotic and expensive 4.0L conversion cannot match the figures quoted for that prototype. In fact the 991 GT3RS falls short on the torque! 340lbft is not possible right now unless you are building a pure race engine running race fuel straight pipes no cats no loads (aircon or hydraulic steering etc).

I think they have taken these "prototype" figures for the article. Given the actual power quoted and the weight I would say with 6 speed more like 3.9s

Not sure at this stage, I'd like to get out again soon, but also have the inkling of plans for the car and need to decide which way I'm going to go with it.

The exhaust cut-off kit has arrived. Can't complain about the quality, so far, welds are very good. Considering all of this was $170 at the letter box I was prepared for the worst. Now to find a muffler specialist to cut my cup pipe and insert this. If it works as envisaged the remote will activate and the exhaust will bypass the secondary muffler. Hopefully it will be adjustable, but it could well be on/off.

He did give it a miss but luckily he didn't miss out! Two prolonged safety car periods including the last 15 minutes so we finished under yellows. No real flow to the race - lots more much faster cars and HD makes it a lot tougher than Taupo to get past . Quali was damp but at least the race was dry. All experience though. Puke is a lot more open and flowing in a month's time.

Great as always to see JMac and Matt B (plus Matt B's new friend )
