Jake. You have been spoilt for versatility. Nothing is as versatile in the 911 range as a 4x4 Turbo, Tipo. Anything else in the range you consider will be compromised somehow. This is the problem with entering the 911 ladder on the higher/more modern power rung. Its really hard to get complete satisfaction elsewhere. Much easier for us stepping up from old to newer/more powerful/less compromised...

Yes, I'm planning to go with Lola. I may do some rounds with the standard CPU and some with John's Steve Wong chip if he doesn't nick it back before then ;-)
Ran around a few streets today with John's CPU and mine to try and see what the difference is. She seemed to run nicer with the SW chip. In one test going up hill from 2000-4000 rpm in 2nd she wheels pun with the SW chip. However, it had also just started showering.
I think I'm going to struggle to give it back.

All you need to do is spend $50-70K restoring yours to concours standard, and you too will have a $100K car?

Good to see them giving some of those hillclimb cars a good push - including the Jo Siffert liveried 917/10. Pranging that would be neither safe nor cheap but it's still kicking up dust from the edges.
