Paul. They are fakies but would do the job fine I suspect. The folks that supplied myself John and Jamie with the SP5 can provide a set of similar for approx. 3K landed.

That's it gents, if you don't already own a Countach I think you may be out of luck as values will skyrocket now they star in this instant classic hit!

Default Maybe breaking your race cherry in BB

John, correct me if I'm wrong but further to these 2Kcup one hour races on 2 and 3 May, it looks like BB will also probably be judged fit to run, so this is a head's up to anyone in her wider ownership group who isn't already invested in the other cars that they'd just need to have a car club membership, a national C race licence (easily done) and be happy to stump up the entry cost ($250 or $125 if sharing a drive) plus consumables/wear cost (fuel plus $4 a lap or so?) to pilot her in a race come the weekend following.

And don't let just a non-compliant helmet, boots or overalls hold you back either as I have a spare set (medium:NZ size9:size 60 respectively) available if need be.

OK, you wouldn't be at risk of winning with her, but you would be RACING!

Might suit someone who can also get in some practice laps with her on the 28th?

Top 50 approx cars in the Series will run SUNDAY, if you are between 45 and 55 in the Championship please let us know if you need early notice of which day you will run.

Lower than 50 will run SATURDAY

If we have over 90 cars so need 3 grids there will be 2 races on Saturday so that people can book travel with confidence and not need to worry as we will then be able to allow entries up till Late next week.

Any cars that are in the top 50 can enter the slower races if they use a different number so change from 8 to 289 and bingo was his name O, you will need to make 2 entries you will need to pay 2 entry fees but you or your co-drivers can get extra time on track and have more fun, you will also need to fix your car over night if any problems occur but hey it's 2kcup when are we not fixing cars.

Sounds like the Sunday race will be run at lunchtime, Saturday race times will depend on number of races we have.

Saturday races grids will be set on qualifying
Sunday Race will be a reverse grid on Championship points with the normal 10 second holds per 10 cars on the grid. So a normal reverse grid race.

Pitstops will be as per last year, 1 minute hold in the pits, stops will need to be taken between the 20 and 40 min mark.

All our cars are out of top 50

BB2 #54
Grinch #57
BB #141

I suggest that we run Saturday with all three. 6 drivers = $125 entry for each for 30 minutes racing.

Yes, I think we let the BB co-owners choose first. That way if she doesnt survive my conscience will be clear.

Also need boring things like support, but I suppose the non driver can support the driver until they change over.

Great practice for the Dunlop 800.

Good plan for Saturday and them's the early words but 2Kcup is run by humans with discretion. Can't see them allowing BB into the fast group but BB2 finished 18th and 21st at last outing and the Grinch in the 30s both races at her last so can't see them having too many concerns on allowing them to run again on Sunday (even if just running under alternative numbers). I might sound out BB2's Sunday chances with Mark. It will probably depend on the level of demand so best we check early.

I reckon there's also a better than even chance that there'll be two fields running on Saturday, one on Sunday so more slots may yet come available - especially if it looks like a dry meet.

But you're right in basing your planning around just what's certain at this stage. Anything more will be a bonus.

Fill yer boots on Sunday. I see it's reverse grid, which isn't my favourite. I'm also traveling for another two weeks from the Monday, so might be political to spend some time at Home. I wonder how the R will go down parked in Whangarei at the Bank? Maybe I should take BB2!

1st post: 5th Jan, 2006
10th page completed: 16th December 2009 (grew 10 pages in about four years)
110th page completed: 14th March 2013 (grew by another 100 pages in a bit over 3 years)
1110th page completed: 14th August 2014 (grew by 1000 pages in about 1.5 years)

Anyone noticing a pattern? If we're going to go supercritical, maybe we should get some public liability insurance for killing the internet:

11110th page in another 9 months from now?
111110th page in about (9+5) 14 months from now?
1111110th page in about (9+5+3) 17 months from now (past the million mark)?
11111110th page in about (9+5+3+2) 19 months from now?
111111110th page in about (9+5+3+2+1) 20 months from now?
and so on for 20.6, 21, 21.25, 21.4, 21.5, 21.56, 21.6 months etc.

Evidently, by Christmas 2016, all the world's storage will belong to us. The only responsible thing for world powers to do of course is to nuke us from orbit before it's too late...

BTW: if you're reading this while sitting in a bunker with far too much time on your hands and just the one button: just kidding mate - please put that finger back where it came from.
Oops, correction - I see that those forecasts were numbers of pages, not posts. Our sudden attack of responsibility might yet save the Net...

not bad I suppose. as long as it isn't too wet - No TC or ABS on an old SC like you flash Harry flyboys, but then only 204 BHP could pass as traction control
