That one looks particularly smooth - hard to place what is different to others but subtle detail and less is more works for that one.
Starting to wonder if I will ever get the Orange one but a fair re alignment of target date looks to be the North Island track tour in September. Steve reckons it will be running by months end. I don't underestimate the time from there to sort out the gremlins and piece it all together - not least that the interior work starts after that lot is done. Worst case it will go on tour with a borrowed seat and a bare interior. Absolute worst case it will have to go on a trailer if not vinned and WOF'd in time. And if all else fails Macca will lend me the 911 that he isn't taking - and I hear that John will have a couple of cars sitting idle that weekend too.

Macca... comparing Bridge to Gantry vs Full Circuit lap times. Only a 20-30s difference.

7:32 BTG, in traffic, in a 997.1 GT3...

It's hardly an amazing 991 GT3 time.

Cool to see 911s still being rallied, this is from the recent Otago NZRC round. Click the image for the rest of the gallery (no other 911 shots, though).

Good spotting Matt. It was indeed BTG. It turned out not to be Manu. This is from Manus only 991 GT3 session below and he's not heading to the ring again until next month with his 458 speciale. His lap is a full one I believe.

Its a 7.35 so not as impressive.

Interesting comment on my Porsche Grohe Tap auction on TM. Amazing but Simon is the patent holder for the Tap must have been told about it and bought it as a momento. Small world aye! I love cool stories like that...

Good luck to the RSG Targa and Targa Tour participants today. Post pics when you can.

FYI these are Cayman's registered in NZ. The Gen 2's are rare as are R's. Maybe there are only two?

Good luck with the Targa everyone involved, sorry about the weather! Here's hoping it clears up for you.

Your garage shames mine.

Targa with Paul co-driving. Fined up for the last stage or two after bucketing down during several of the morning stages. On normal road tyres, the advantage we had in the wet versus R-comps started to reverse later.
