Sam big congrats on the new addition! Hope mum and bubs are well! Sounds like you got another Pcar in just in time aye! Well done...
Nik. Sorry mate - yes the RS2 - completely forgot. How long have you had her now? It must be almost 10 years? Nogaro blue was THE colour for these. My LASER red one didn't look half as good...

Dad almost purchased your old Laser Red RS2 last year. It was going to be traded at a dealership, price was agreed, but the owner ended up pulling the pin on what he was going to purchase.

Lola is back where she belongs all fresh and shiny. Very happy with Steve's work. So much care and attention to detail went into it. They even steam cleaned the engine and painted the wiper hardware.
Dave took me down to Pirongia and we ogled the Orange T. She's getting the attention now that Lola is all done.
We took the long way back, towards Raglan, SH22, Ridge Road and m'way from Bombay Hills. We swapped cars for a little bit towards the end of the run. The two red cars looked great together.

Your problem is all Porsche's will feel slow compared to your 997TT. You can only hope for lightness and a car that dances to get a different feel. You should drive a GT3 as they do feel quite different and rev much higher, but have most of the HP you are used to. Did you drive the red CCS manual DT car? So would you own a Cayman.........??
I wouldn't be looking to own a GT3 and a Turbo. If money allowed I'd be looking to a 991 GT3, but the Turbo suits for now.
I could see a Cayman in my future. Now I've driven a gen 1 S, I'll look to take the $1 reserve gen 2 non S to compare.

Edit - Hell Yeah - $150K and 13 YEARS Later............
I'm a bit pumped on the long hoods this avo having read Dave's thread. I need to take a cold shower........
Mind you -if it's a project car - why can't it take 5-10 years........ (As long as it's your second Pcar......)

First world problem for sure. The car definitely felt lighter than the Turbo, but yes lacked the power to push it around. Such a different car. I haven't driven the CCS manual. Yeah for sure. The weight advantage and extra life in brakes/tyres will show through relatively quickly. I'll just have to upgrade my brakes & tyres so I can try keep up with you
Looking forward to following the R around HD and learning lines!
A Cayman for me wouldn't be track focused, would be a second P car for daily duties and the occasional weekend run. I quite like the feel of pushing the heavy hipped Turbo through corners, was a little disconcerting not having the weight there to be honest!
