What does a set of 4 RS3's cost?

I agree on the buy on condition. Pel - $15K is big freight for a road car - i didn't see any mod's in that list...........

Mind you - I have just sneezed $6K in tyres, service, wheel alighment and missing spoilers.......

Pel - what does pinning cost?

Dave - I have some unused 214's on 15's you can borrow............ + the instant lower gearing of 15's and low profiles will give you a bit.

(they will go off before I get a car that would benefit from them).

Jake was quoted $1,800 fitted and balanced. Coincidently that was the expected cost of fully pinning my 996 TT when it gave Ron a Green shower.

I not dissing the 996TT at all, just the NZ new myth. In my ownership I did the following on my NZ new car in two years, on top of maintenance:

1. Fix hand wheel sensor harness break
2. Replace ABS hydraulic pump
3. Replace reverse light switch
4. Replace Transmission mount
5. Replace Door lock
6. Replace Fuel pump
7. Pin blown coolant hose.
8. Replace turn signal switch.

On top of that it had the start of the rear spoiler fault.

Granted it had done 167,000 km so things wear out, but NZ new is not a gold guarantee for a car. Buy on condition.

Yes, they changed the compound. Local Hankook supplier checked throughout their stores in NZ and they only have the older compound in 235/35/19, and newer compound in 305/30/19. Unlikely to change until the local stock is consumed.

Getting a single MPSS and will look to get it shaved; anyone know a local Auckland outfit that can do this?

Jake. Tireack will shave. Just ask them to do it and tell them how much. I think its not much money. They can heat cycle tyres too. i recommend the latter if you are buying a full set.

Chris. If your wife's high heels go missing - then you need to start worrying about the Buba stalker! Especially the red ones. He likes cooking at home in those...

I haven't seen him since the day we took them all to the track, or at least drove them to the track. As for price, I have lost track of the current market for the Turbo 3.6, but it appears to have eclipsed many other Porsches of the '90s in asking price.

Tire Rack is out of stock of 305 MPSS, with no ETA. Picking up the one MPSS tyre locally for $860 inc, but would be keen to get it as close to the other worn rear as possible. Everyone assures me that 2.25mm won't make any noticeable difference, so I could be overthinking this...
