Macca, no.
We had a Leo Young 14'6 with a Daimler Dart SP250 motor.
C'est la vie was owned by some Karapiro farmers
67 we were in Ak, Jimmy was in Gold Leaf Lotus with Jochen Rindt
Jimmy picked up Dad as pit crew and took me as well..I carried cameras for Euan Sarginson.
Always remember it was so sad..World champ in latest Ford Zodiac, and he drove just like Ma and Pa Kettle all the way to Puke. chatting about just anything .. was a genuinely nice guy

PS Thanks Macca, I emailed you.
Thanks for posting this Doug. Great value by international standards. A CCS course like this was my track introduction and I would highly recommend it to any track newbies, and many others for that matter with the time and money to hand. Nothing like having the likes of Jonny Reid, Earl Bamber or Matt Halliday in the passenger seat to put you at ease while exploring your boundaries. Covered by Prestigio insurance if notified in advance and appears to be well regarded by them as well when later seeking cover for Targa Tour etc.

I note Ron and Patsy's GTR gets the tiniest of cameos at 13s. I also note that some big 911 drifts feature but we don't see the recoveries, which is a bit gratifying after spinning out of mine that time in the sprints.

Thanks Phil. You'll have to tell us some stories on 7th. Fascinating stuff. I just love the history side of the sport in NZ. We punched well above our weight in 50s and 60s global motorsport...

BB parts are ready to go.
Rotors were only $91, I've got a discount.

Now the tricky part, the logistics around it.
I don't know where BB is exactly located at HD and how to access her?
Are there any tools there or do I need to bring everything?
I think I'll just bring everything I'll think is neccessary
outside or inside? light? enough space to work?
My plan for now is to do it Sat or Sun morning, any ideas or help are welcome.

Hi Ralf,

BB is located in a garage at HD, attached to Chris B's apartment there. I have a remote card to get into the fenced parking area and a remote to open the garage door.

I didn't look at the tools available but I always prefer to use my own as there's nothing worse than missing the item you need. Plus people are generally possessive over tools so best not to upset them.

The garage is a double but to jack bb up it would be best to move her out of the garage. The key is in there to start her.

Before you start shall I ask Jono for a price to do it? You could always watch for next time?

BB's fluid probably needs a bleed (assuming you did a full flush when the first set of EBCs went in), too.

Just asked Jono, $60 is his price to change ten rotors and pads, plus bleed calipers. Sounds like a no brainer Ralf. Drive out, take BB the 200 meters to Jono's workshop then take her for a drive to get used to her

Sweet az.

Seems to be there most days, including weekends. If you tell me a time you can get out there I'll check with him. Better still you could text him direct 021 156 2400. I could give you the card and remote (after giving a courtesy text to Chris B).

Great. I'll check with Dave as to what fluid was used in the brakes as a bleed would require a top up. I could meet you at the mt Wellington on ramp with the card etc on Saturday morning if that helps.

To be honest, I'm not sure, I just said "put the good stuff in" but it was Pitstop so don't expect anything flash. Pitstop Glenn Innes if you want to ring and find out what they use
