Hi guys. I've been trying to pull together a RSG discount for wheels and tires with a friend of mine in the industry. Initial discussions are looking good but no promises in case it falls over...
Whats he's asked for is a list of tyres and sizes you would be purchasing over the course of a year so he can evaluate the practicality of it all. Initially he was concerned it would be taking business away from a retailer they supplied but I explained that most of the group are going offshore now so if anything its bringing business back into NZ.
So if you could reply to this post and as people add their specs etc (any car not just Porsche) keep it in the same post that would be helpful for me to cut and paste into an email for him. With enough people to make it worth while I'm pretty sure we can get some good pricing NZ based.

Not sure how to do this best so I don't need to trawl through pages of discussion to see what people need but maybe if you reply using the quote function and then add your name to the list as follows.

With the fitting it's up to you guys to work it out. I would be nervous about doing it on the morning in case anything isn't as easy as expected. If you get in difficulty ring Jono on 021 156 2400. He is the previous owner and spends a lot of time in the workshop garage next to Steve's at HD. He said he was happy to help us. If you do end up paying him to do it/finish it we can reimburse. I don't think anyone expects members to wrench as a necessity. Btw from memory there is no wheel wrench. We used a 22mm socket on a torque wrench.
I suggest you three sort out the cost division of the 16th between yourselves. We can settle the cross holdings through RSG. Please leave her with a full tank. You can fill up at Gull.

Thanks Jamie. I think I better understand now. This could be across all our vehicles right?

Thats the impression I've gotten talking with my guy. Obviously there's little margin in tyres for a say a Honda Civic so probably not worth their time but a Porsche Cayenne for example would probably be ok. At the end of the day its volume too so the more we can take to him I think the better. All I can do is try.
996TT - road 225-40-18 fronts, 295-30-18 rears, (Y) or at least Y rated, if also Porsche N-rated all the better - set every 18 months or so.
996TT - suitable track R-comps from the above sizing through 235-40-18F, 305-30-18R, or 245-35-18F, 315-30-18R - probably similar timing.
Audi allroad - 225-55-17x4, Z, W,Y or (Y) rated - set every 2 years or so.
Currently running:
Sumitomo HTRZIIIs, 225-40-18F, 295-30-18R
Nitto NT-01s 245-40-18F, 315-30-18R
Goodyear Eagle F1s 225-55-17s
AS the AGBSM (Annual General Bull**** Meeting) gathers pace.. the 7th appears to work well, and who could imagine a do without Macca.. it does beg the question.. Our good ladies.. from my perspective they are welcome and necessary. . I have two boats there so we could put them on one... ! (destroy this edit now) with TV of the netball or Downtown Abbey repeats.. gentlemen, bring a plate, or a mate of mine owns Toto Restaurant who do the most awesome 1m long multi taste pizzas which I know my lady relishes. And they deliver..! Its not all about us.. is it...??
Sounds like those driving on the 16th have BB's brakes sorted but sing out if I'm needed still. Comes as a bit of relief actually as I hadn't realised she was down at HD rather than being handy at Chris's place next to my work, making it a weekend trip rather than an evening visit.
