Yes - I would have thought (hoped) more than that.
Will be interesting to see how long they sit?
The silver car looks very nice.
I think the black over red car is ex Graham Cameron??
Macca will know.

As for the black one with higher mileage, its NZ new and the internal colour isn't to everyones taste but I quite like it. Again it seems fair to cheap.
Macca?
Looks like I'll miss the AGBSM as I fly out to the US for two months on 27 Aug. Keen for sundowners on your ship another time Phil. All you're missing is the Flight Deck. Swap you for a tour of a Frigate someday??
Well unless there is a story or a massive amount of deferred work I wouldn't expect the manual silver on black for $48k to last til the weekend.

I don't know either car but they both look cheap to me. I have no doubt they will each need money spent to get them to reliable acceptable RSG mechanical status but you can't deny the value they represent. Mate of mine just sold his 993 C2 in the UK for the same amount....in pounds! ( was to be fair a peachy 30k miler)
Which would I choose? Actually no idea. Prefer polar silver dark colours are a hassle. Lower Kms a plus but ex sing or where ever a negative. The black one may need a top end in thee forum future.
Just goes to show how soft the NZ market is. These are priced to move not hang around so I should imagine will sell fast. That being said we are only talking 20% more than a 964. Mind you the way RSG 964s are attracted to concrete I think the value for scarcity thing will overtake 993 in only a matter of another 18 months lol!
The 993 is superior to the 964 in almost every way IMO ( as of course product evolution typically dictates). It simply comes down to wether you like the older style shape or a more modern/fresh? take on it and at a 20% premium it would seem you no longer need to consider the fiscal side as hard as before. But they are still relics so will need plenty of TLC as they get older....

Neil you've been named as the luckiest man of 2014, can't say I disagree either: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152547986353926
That started a long way back!

They are (well were) very expensive for what they are (996TT/997 money)
As time has gone on, I like the 996 shape more, so question the premium. I really like the 996 GT3 shape.
The 993 has a big advantage over non-mez engined cars - there are A LOT of 996 / gen I 997/cayman/boxers around with problems. I know of a mint 996 that had the bearing rebuild that just melted - a concourse masters winner's car with low miles and not thrashed.
964's were considered problem children for a long time due to maintenance costs. I think they have now moved to a market segment where people buy them as hobby cars and with an expectation of customising or refurbishing them. So the maintenace costs are no longer such a stigma. I am amazed at the 964 colt following that has popped up recently.......
Mind you 911 SC's and 2.7 narrow body IB's are now becoming collectable and worth north of $40K.
The equasion gets tougher for 993's, when you consider Gen II Caymen's are now early $50's. I was talking to a club member on Sunday who just purchased a NZ new Gen II Cayman S, silver over black, 36K's for just over $50K via Conti's. He had the choice of a dark blue one too for similar money. If I was in the market - even I would have to think long and hard.............

After Pete's email about NITT accommodation today I was left wondering what to do. Thanks to encouragement from Pete, Macca and John plans are coming together.
At this stage, if BB is still in fair shape, I'll extend the rego a month and take her to Taupo for a day of wacky fun.
