Default Best Track Times in a GT4

Tell us your Best Track times.

I know I'm not the fastest but here goes mine, and until someone else posts, I'm in the lead at NOLA. If your time puts you in 1st place, we need to see a video or screenshot of the lap time.

Edits: I am posting most recent track submissions in RED. If posting includes a video, I'm trying to include a hyperlink of the post number to the video. Edit - now adding a separate VIDEO link button. Also, each track is hyperlinked to the track's website.

PLEASE POST AS: TRACK - ELAPSED TIME - DATE - TIRES - MODS

Not pointed at you because you have data. But I'd reccomend that posters provide data records or a video, or it didn't happen. Track junkies does a good job of this kind of thread.

I will personally guarantee you myBailey07 that if you post right now, you will be the fastest (for a little while at least!). And, hey, others might want to know what mere mortals can expect for times at your circuit.

I'm also not the fastest but I'll chime in and get things rolling by posting a time from my last COTA event where I was chasing a good buddy in a 997.2 GT3. So much fun!

COTA; 231.99; toe links/camber plates/19" Forgeline wheels/hoosiers

Here is the proof:

According to Jack Donovan, author of The Way of Men - Honor is something that is highly valued among men in a organized group or a "gang" as he describes it. So being a member of the Rennlist gang we can expect to be ostracised if we are caught lying.

In my world of tournament sport fishing, it is called Video Verification. First, a captain must sign on his honor that he did in fact release "x" number of marlin, and then video is used to verify it did occur.

First step in on your honor, then verification. It works and our Rennlist gang will decide if the evidence is good enough.

This is not me and I don't know the driver, but I was at Cal Speed @ Festival of Speed in April and noted some pretty quick times on the sheet for a stock GT4 - 1.48.78 - this is a very good time for a stock car! I used to run 44's and 45's in my 996 Cup here and this was about where 996 Cups were that weekend as well. So down 4 seconds to a Cup car that weighs 2,500 lbs. and is on slicks, is pretty impressive!

From PCA San Diego Results website: http://results.pcasdr.org/tt_rungroup.php?database=tt

Overall Run Group Results: Timed-1
Auto Club Speedway - Roval - 2016-04-10

Place Class Car Number Name Best Time
8 SS08 72 McRae, Ed 1:48.78 58

Number of GT4's there - but none faster than this one!

Can we get a few TWS times? I'm 2:02.3 & no one wants to see that video but I was curious what the car is capable of at that track.

Too late Houston, you are on the board! Was that in a GT4? And, What tires and any mods?

Here are two good TWS benchmarks:

1) Pro coach - 1:51:92

A pro coach did three laps in my GT4 with alignment and relatively fresh oem cup 2's on slightly damp track with some standing water left at an apex or two. Did a 1:51:92. (measured with vbox sport integrated with Harry's for video) I think that's a good benchmark of what the car is capable of on oem tires out there in very capable hands. I guess with a dryer track and some more time he could have gone faster.

2) ShakeNBake - 1:48:XX

I know Shake has dipped into the 1:48's there, albeit on hoosiers and has posted video on here. If I try and do that I'll fly off the track so far, it'll take them until Wed when they come mow the grass to find me...

I concluded mid 1:50's there is plenty fast for "normal" folks on oem tires...

Hope it helps a bit.

I do have a question about COTA. Does anyone have verifiable proof of folks going sub 2:30 on a street tire setup (cup2's, re71r's, dunlop etc)?

I did 1:56.66 (AIM Solo) at TWS first time out in the GT4 at a private track day so no traffic. Car is all stock, on MPSC2 with max camber with stock parts (no shims) at about -1.5deg front and -1.4deg rear. At PDS this past weekend best was 1:57.32. I've driven TWS a lot but just an average driver. Car has more in it for sure.
