Nicely done! Impressive how quickly you've picked up some of the nuances of the track. I'm glad you're enjoying such nice weather there.

SNB---for real elevation change you should get to Mosport

Say, what is the track app software you are using? Looks very interesting. Love the time deltas.
It's a smooth sailing track, so much flow, like a BMX pump track.
I'm using a Racelogic Video VBOX.

Sure beats stopping at your average historical marker on the 1700 miles drive from Texas.

The GT4 was made for that track. There is so much camber built in that you never get any misbehavior. Cup2s felt like a totally different tire. I was expecting to suffer while I learned the track, but I found that I was completely happy and having more fun on the Cup2s.

Thanks. I put a lot of laps in on Forza in an uber-cayman with 800hp

That's what I hear!

I put some faster tires (R7s) on the second day. The temps were really working against me. There is so much HP loss between 70F and 90F. I could have easily gone faster in the afternoon with more accumulated practice and the time I was fortunate to receive from a very strong driver/coach in the right seat, but the car just could not keep up with the AM speeds.

I managed a 2.04.00 flat with the same alignment on R7s 40psi hot, 85F. I was on my way to a 3.5 on another lap, but I got into traffic at T6, so maybe next time!

Here are the Cup2s and R7s side by side so you can see where the times came from (watch in 1080 so you can see the velocity trace). Cup2s on OEM 20" wheels had a slight gearing advantage into T6, T7, T11 vs the 19" R7s. About 5%. I had to upshift to 4th on the way to T6 and T7.

Sorry just a lapping day car w lap belts and no video. Had multiple 36s that afternoon on pro course and there was more time with diff tires or set up.
Not trying to impress anyone or to change the official record..
My point was these cars very capable and IMO best on the more technical short courses.

i agree about the GT4 being so well suited to technical courses—like from China Beach through madness and thunder valley through carousel...had multiple 1:38’s on worn RE-71’s with the Chicane

car felt at home on that course🍻

Looks like you got a great lap! I'm wondering if even lower is better for grip and more cycles.

What PSI were the Cup 2s in the side by side video?

The back and forth between 24Chromium and I continues as I rob the top spot at the Thill 3 mile (for now) with a 1:57.0 on R7s with my GT4

Fantastic, Joe! Congrats. But I'll be in the 56's next time I'm out at TH and looking for a 55!

sportlife2012 holds on to the top spot at Road Atlanta, but only by .2 sec.

Amazing laps this weekend with Chin, on Pirelli slicks and track alignment with monballs, tow links and a lot of camber.

Shaved 3 seconds off my personal best with those upgrades on a very familiar track. Got moved up to Advanced group too!
