Very cool site, Aryork - thanks for sharing! I agree, an excellent resource! Watching a Miata mouse go around the track is painfully slow - ha ha but the computer render looks spot on!

Very interesting that they have Hallett going CW and CCW.

Shaved off 4 secs on my personal best lap at Barber yesterday. Temps in the low 30s and running Pirelli DH slicks to get to a 1:38.41
4k video here if you have the display and bandwidth to handle it.

GeoJoe, that's an extremely quick lap. What's your setup? What sizes on the Pirellis? I'm really impressed - outstanding.

Hey...thanks! I'm running toe links, monoballs and spacers for a ton of camber. Tires are 255/650/19 on the front, 295/680/19 in the rear. I've got a harness and roll bar too.

Everything else stock.

I don't have the monoballs or spacers, but I've got toe links and camber plates. I wonder if those Pirellis will fit on my Forgeline GS1Rs without rubbing (19x9 +54MM up front, 19x10.5 +43MM in back). Last year I bit the bullet and got the Forgelines with RE71s on them (I was running those on the stock wheels and liked them) but didn't have a chance to use them before winter hibernation. After the new ones are done, was considering Hoosiers or DH takeoffs. I don't want to minimize your skill because your line was stinking perfect, but your video makes a strong case for the Pirellis nonetheless.

Best I could manage while at the Porsche school was a 1:44.something in the turbo. No videos in the GT3RS, probably a second quicker, but man, 1:38 is just an eternity quicker and it's because your cornering speeds, esp on 2, 11, and 14 are just blistering.

Nice lap! You have tons of time available to you, particularly in 1-2, 9-10, and 15

It will be hard for me to go back to a street legal tire on the track now that I've tasted the sticky Pirelli grip. It's a whole new level of trust I've never felt in a car before. However, I'm an idiot for taking them out in the winter temps in the 30s. Found some sidewall cracks after the last session and called it a day. Looks like I'll need a set of winter friendly tires if I continue to track year round here in the south.

Haha... yeah, thanks for noticing coach! I've spun my Audi in 1-2, so I need to shake off that memory. Between 9-10-11 gives me the most pucker factor and I back off. On 15 I can cut that corner much tighter than most anyone else. Maybe I should swing it wide instead.

...always learning!

Oops that was my typo. I meant 14. At the bottom of the hill. You should be WOT over that flat curbing. 15 looked great IMO. I like a tight efficient line there as well

That's a great tip. I'll try that next time.

Big thanks! Here's a few laps chasing down a Radical at Barber on that same weekend. Tricky sunlight but finally got a point-by. I was surprised how well matched the GT4 is to this Radical.
