Prices Keep Drifting Up

I'm betting it is a "well sorted" Porsche.
Love him or hate him, Jake is meticulously a perfectionist. I'm guessing every button does exactly what it was designed to do.
I have a motor he built 5 years ago sitting in the barn just in case I ever need it. I know it was meticulously assembled and every component was thought through.

Now tell me about the brand of a bearing you are not selling and where I buy it.

Former Vendor
It just had my heart transplant.
I bought this Targa earlier this year, because I like Targas. My wife didn't like the black R40 996 that I sold earlier this year, and I kind of thought that she might like the Targa because of the characteristics, and since the "hatch back" made it a bit more practical than a standard 996. With my daughter being out of a car seat / booster now things are better all around, but my wife still didn't like driving the Targa. I had thought about keeping it, but then I remembered that I was supposed to be selling my Porsche collection, and not adding to it. I've gone from 9 down to 3, and all 3 are aircooled, simple cars. I even sold my 993 with its R39 engine @3.9 liters. A 356, 912E and '88 Carrera are all that are left. The deciding factor to sell the Targa was needing to buy another piece of equipment to clear off one of my properties where I'm planting a Pecan orchard. I'm too cheap, and hard to please to pay someone to do the work. I basically traded a 996 Targa for a forestry mulcher.
I have no desire to buy and sell more of these cars, but if the right broken car comes along I'll snap it up and see what I can do with it a couple of times per year... There's very few people that would go through the hassles of buying a car from me, but the way I do it there's zero chance for buying an unknown/ disappointment, or buyer's remorse. When the buyer said that he wanted the car, my response was "are you sure?"

Other then it being a tip I can’t understand why it’s so low that’s weird

Still a factory aero that’s enough

Race Car
I'd rather have a 6spd than factory aero.
Talk about ruining the driving experience...the tiptronic will do it!

What FSI called "a stocker" back when they had that program. From what I gather, it's factory power and configuration, but with various "parts/pieces" that Jake considers better than oem.
A quote from the FSI stocker page:
"The Stocker engines offer factory level of performance with all weak points and issues of the original M96/97 engine addressed, making it much more reliable and long-lasting. "

Maybe BaT. I like the thought of letting someone come and check the car out and buying with some peace of mind. The auction sites are all about volume, which isn't good for buyers or sellers, IMO.

The standard 996 Carrera Tip was still the old 964 ZF slushbox just zero love. Even a sorted 964/993 Tip can still dip into the low-twenties. With 3-pedals that was a $40K+ car all day long
