Hi GC996, I saw your comment in the 996 thread and wanted to drop a line saying I recently moved from MN to Northern Illinois near the tri-state area. I had been actively looking for a 997 (cab, auto) and very recently learned about the "early" build 1999 996 models and now this is a serious consideration. I do follow PCMarketplace and of course BaT, and was curious if you had any additional suggestions on where I look for a unicorn like this, and of course what good indy shops in IL to consider once I find one.

Lovely build list on your 996. I just picked one up a couple weeks ago and have a very similar wishlist. I'm most curious about the LSD. Have you tracked your car before and after installing it? Noticeable difference? I've had traction aid's in every vehicle I've owned and tracked and have already noticed a few situations where I've missed it while driving on fun roads. Would love to connect and talk more about the process of pulling the trans and having the LSD installed. Best, Gus.
