Without side mouldings looks better. I don't think I would do a forced regression though.

Today installed new air pump filter, TPS wiring harness and rebuilt MAF in the 86.5. Drove for a while.

Helped it give an E39 M5 owner an inferiority complex.

Is that front bar slightly bent, or is it the camera.

My original bar was really bent as in the pic below:

I had my nephew (who is a wiz on the TIG) redo the bar using the original brackets. Used 1" aluminum with 1/4" wall. We stress tested afterwards before installation and it is strong and yest still light.

Pulled the right axle out of the way to get at the stuck bolt for the PSD slave cylinder. Had to take a Dremel and cut off the bolt head to remove the leaking slave. Once the head was off and the old slave was out of the way I turned the shank out with my fingers. Must have been the head/washer/eye on the old slave that was corroded and stuck. Installed a new rubber bellows in the diff and installed the "new" used slave from 928 Intl. Tomorrow is finish installing new axle flange seals, re-fill the diff, bleed the PSD and button everything back up.

Default Engine looks like it had a visit from a white tornado

How on earth did you get the engine so clean?! It looks amazing--especially the oil cap!!! I'm impressed and just a little envious...

Thanks! I appreciate the input and it doesn't have any side trim.

Dave,

Not wishing to buy a slide-hammer I used this inexpensive laminate flooring tool to effectively and gently pry the dust caps off.

Exterior clean, glaze, seal. An annual ritual, give or take six months. Looks a bit nicer now.

I finished pulling all the factory audio components. Decided to go and buy some Alpine speakers to see if they fit better than the Infinity's, and they do, so the Infinity's are being returned on Monday.

The 4" SPS-410 from Alpine fits perfectly, now I don't have to cut into the door to fit them.

Oh and I finally put my centre caps back together after re-finishing.

And I'm waiting for my X-pipe to arrive!

DROVE two of them!

EURO85 this AM and after lunch! SO LOUD, but such a nice car! Always gets lots of love! Thankfully NOT from the cop I was right in front of today!

EURO 92 GTS this evening! SO FAST, SO ELEGANT! LOVE IT!

Love them BOTH!

Took the '92 up to the Porsche dealership to check out the new 991! That is a sweet car! Very 928 like, but still not roomy enough inside to qualify as a 928 class GT car!

If you are going to paint the car anyway then do the delete, but don't paint it just so you can do the delete... there will be BIG HOLES that must be filled in when you take the rub strips off, so it is not just a take them off and polish up the are where they were at sort of procedure! It is a real PITA!

Appreciate the info and part #, I don't want to deal with the crossover and separates that are part of another speaker solution. Are you using a factory harnes to drive it, or have you re-done the whole thing with amp, etc? Depending on the answer to that-- Are they 2 ohm impedednce?

I'm using the factory speaker wires. Alpines are 4ohm's and all of my factory speakers were 4 as well. The infinity's are 2 ohms but would require cutting the metal of the inner door. I'm also going to use an Alpine KTP-445 power pack and mount it where the factory booster was and tap into the power there.
