Ken-

That's a good sign you've been driving the car the way it's meant to be driven- with the heads packed half full of oil.

On topic: Started installation of a 2-cooler radiator into the GTS yesterday, forgot about the part where I need to grind off the 78-86 fan shroud mounts... D'oh...

Replaced the RCA cable for the rear camera with the correct video RCA cable (go figure)

I Set the console back in place but I had to remove the Hvac controls, its still not bolted down. Not everything is sitting to my liking

Well last night I finished installing the 2 fuel hoses by the passenger head and 2 days ago I checked the condition of my fuel tank and this is what I found.

Steam cleaned the carpeting in my Shark with ... wait for it ... The Shark!

Results were better than I thought. Carpet is pretty soft and I only burned myself once!

Picking up a slightly used genuine Porsche 930S steering wheel at the next DFW GTG breakfast!

Default Today my 928 and I...

Today I tried to decide if it would look better to have the door-ding trim pieces on the side or not. No luck...

I also found myself wondering if it's just me or is replacing the parking brakes really that much of a pain.

These are NOT mine but serves as fine samples:

Cleaned/degreased intake tubes and various engine compartment areas. I hope I'm not turning into a concours guy...BTW, the engine compartment is ridiculously tight.

Still getting burned oil smell inside the car when stopped at a light. Looked for obvious leaks from the top side but couldn't find any. Feeling too lazy to get under car today but eventually I'll have to figure out what hot surface the oil is dripping onto and from where.

Poked around to start figuring out how involved removal of the Ungo alarm system will be. So far, I identified the secret reset switch, a motion sensor, wires to the doors (probably explains why locks don't work correctly), a control unit stuffed under the CE panel and probably another box under the console. Found the original receipt which indicates the alarm was installed in 1992.

Finished up my KE (keyless entry) install. Thanks to the "Install an Aftermarket Remote" thread and its contbutors over the last few years. Installed an Avital 2300 alarm/KE by DEI. I did not attach the siren (lame), dome light or any other components. I used 2 relays to retain stock hatch safety feature and even learned enough to resolve a bad ground connection to relay #2.

Pulled AC controller out, cleaned all the contacts, installed 2 new slider ***** and keepers. Feels nice and firm now. (tomorrow will reinstall and see what happens, lol)

Also, stared at the spaghetti mess from PO stereo install.

Was able to put about 30 miles on the GT after it has been sitting since Sept of last year (finally replaced the temp II after months of troubleshooting). Ran great and I really missed driving it.

Installed the a/c compressor, alternator, p/s pump and reservoir. Cleaned every nut, bolt and washer
before it was reinstalled. Cleaned ( first level) of crap off of the rear suspension and transmission.
