I drove mine with both windows open as always unless its pouring rain.

I went down town and cursed main a few laps but the cops were to thick.

Then I idled through all the millionaires residential in 1st and enjoyed the looks.

Maybe I will set my lights lower tonight, maybe.

Replaced the hood struts and oiled the hinges. I never knew the hood opened like that, it goes up by itself once I release the latch and give it a little push up. Cool!

It was an awesome day today but I did not drive the 928.
Instead i decided to paint the porch (not porsche)

Now I can barely move. should have paid some kids to do it.

I did adjust the lights down last night and now I can see the road.

Finished Dwayne's HVAC Compressor Really switch repair. A/C works for the first time since I've had the car and there is still a month left where I'll need it.

Thankfully, they don't give style points for soldering technique. I started the job with a soldering iron that could not keep temperature and solid core solder. I went back to Radio Shack and picked up a new iron($9.00), rosin core solder and a Fiberglass brush that was indispensable in prepping the area.

The A/C works and my FUGLY soldering is very well hidden.

On '78 OB recently replaced right rear wheel bearing only to be followed by ignition problems ( after 20 minutes of driving tach would gyrate with backfiring and engine shut off--start again do it again, etc.) which was solved by replacing the ignition control unit, aka, spark box with a used one. Next problem?

Fired it up today it has been sitting since July 31st, the last track event. Need to get it ready for Sept 10-11 Streets of Willow and then Sept 24-25 Fontana "Roval" going to run it up on the banking at Cal Speedway turns 1-2 where Anderson hits about 170 MPH....the old very brown 1980 will be much slower, now if only the speedo read more than 85 MPH

I MUST change front rotors the cracks are getting too connected.
