I looked at it sitting there in the garage begging me to fix it, as I walked out the door to go to work at 6 o'clock this morning.

More cleaning,

Also got the water out of the tail lamps so that I can fix the brake light warning/short. Housing was 1/2 full.

Checked the level of the diff and it's ok. Gave her a bath and a quick wax job and now she's ready. But it's gonna rain today. Bummer! Have to wait until Friday.

I have never understood this reluctance to drive in the rain - the 928 has very effective front and rear wipers, and probably won't rust from rain-water.

I drive mine in all weather - yeah OK, I confess, it doesn't snow here, and hail might put me off, but a little rain (or even a LOT) is NOT going to stop me enjoying a drive in a 928.

I buttoned up the head-liner and dash from my radio install. Now it is time to remove the door panels for speaker install, then I'll be able to hear what it sounds like.

I spent yesterday pulling out the old (factory) front speakers and putting in the set from Hans. Ran out of light & stamina so I got up early this morning and pulled the old head unit/CD changer and put in the new head unit. I got tired of not being able to play my music from the iPod. Despite my best efforts, the ol' Alpine unit couldn't be retrofitted to accept iPod input, so I've entered the 21st century .... kicking and screaming. It's nice be able to access my entire music library in the car.

The stereo isn't too blingy, but it also is obviously not factory; I set the control button color to red to try to get it to blend with the factory colors. This model (Kenwood KIV-701) doesn't come with the spinning disco ball or latte machine that some of the other units did, but overall I'm pretty pleased.

Oh yeah.... the speakers sound great!

Drove the '92 GTS tonight...such a wonderful car to drive. It is effortlessly fast! I think I hit a buck thirty on the access road...well, it is a 3-4 lane access road with NOTHING to be accessed, so it is about as safe a place to go fast as any race track...just about...it does have curbs still...

Love that car, and with all the Paul Champagne touches in it that just makes it even MORE special!

Installed transmission mounts - kind of surprised at how easy it was to access the passenger side top bolt with an 18" extension through wheel well. No removing shields, axels, anything.

But, stripped the bottom bolt on the driver's side mount. Had it finger tight but when torquing to 61 lbs it just kept spinning. Time-Sert kit on the way; but I seriously considered the JB weld and soft soap on the bolt thread trick.

I ordered a fuel sending unit for my car and have an order I'm going to place with Roger to get, what I hope is, the last parts I will need to try and get her running.

Default Front Spoiler

Until I can get the right replacement, I made a chin spoiler out of Rubber baseboard and backed by stiff plastic across the bottom of the radiator so some air will go up to the radiator. Its been running hot in the summer and this will help. These cars get too low by POs and ive already taken care of ride height, so this is a good temp fix. I've seen many spoilers missing in pics, then I see people complain about overheating.

Received my upper door panel leather skins from Rob Budd (now am planning best way to punch the leather for the speakers)

Ordered some misc stuff from Nicole

Figured out the bzzz bzzz and interior lights ON were a misalignment on the rear hatch, it sat high and bumps caused on/off
