Hopped in for a drive. Dead battery...hooked up the charger. 5 years old. Sporadic driving. Probably best to get a new one.

Thanks to Sean, Roger and Brad W for all your help today. Thanks to Andy Kay for the clay bar tutorial. My car is really getting better all the time. Why didn't we take any pics? I really enjoyed hanging with you guys too! Andy - What was that wheel well stuff? What's next for my car according to the experts.

WOW...your car is an '80...those should have been replaced DECADES ago! Those Al BJ's are a known big failure. Thankfully the most stress on the steering system is at low speeds (the lower the speed the more stress) so they almost always fail in a parking lot...still NOT FUN, but better than at 85 on the highway!

jbrob007, that car looks VERY, VERY NICE! I love the look of those wheels, but I would HATE to have to clean around those bolts! UGH!

Thanks! I LOVE it... Porkenized 86.5 with special order black & champagne full leather interior to boot!! Actually, the wheels arent bad at all... spray with some detailer mist and buff around them with the tip of your finger & a folded towel... The RH 3 part wheels look like a PITA but they are totally worth the few minutes it takes to keep them looking nice... and, the best part is... they came with the car - $4800 upgrade... Sometimes ya just gotta give the previous owner their props!!!

Default speakers in, well partially.

Got the speakers in the doors and rear. JB Welded a bunch of cracks in the factory speaker grills.

The Alpines fit nice, a slight gap between the door and speaker grill ring.

Pulled my sunroof switch to see why it was not working, and the green wire had come loose.

Installed extended steering wheel ( thanks Gary Knox!). Will dye-to-match if I decide I really like it better than standard depth wheel.

Removed the drivers door panel and "B" pillar to fix some loose vinyl and a loose mirror. Mirror sucessful, but broke a bunch of cips in the process.
