Cleaned carbone out of combustion chamber in one side of the heads. Sandblasted the end covers for the inteake with Al/OX 80 and working on the valve covers. That stuff is pretty strong. I couldn't believe the "flaking" of the core metal on the cam covers. I guess I need to do some filling if i want to make them look smooth. I think I will be going for the Wet paint method instead of PC. Too many problems with PC and at least I can control the wet material and ensure I use the top quality material. Thinking of PPG, but not sure at this point.

After striping the set screw and snapping off a screw extractor, finally removed the coupler from the selector of the transmission (without dropping the rear suspension)... And now re-assembling.
Sorry for the crappy picture... But I did want to document my flex-cabled dremel tool cut-off-wheel work...
TT rebuild without dropping the clutch or the rear suspension can be done!

Oh My God I just went and checked. I never noticed before.
Well I am glad you posted your picture Lane but I wish I wouldn't have went and looked at my car.
It seems my passenger side point forward and the drivers point rearward

well yesterday i played hookey and went for a long drive. I drove to raleigh and back on the back roads...
I spent from 10:00am until 5:30pm tooling around... VERY NICE drive..
I just got the carback from the paint shop. they did a perfect job repairing the few dings and the chiping clearcoat on the roof... I am very impressed with the quality of their work.
I wanted to put some miles on it to check for PS fluid leaks as i just replaced all the PS hoses.
big smiles yesterday.. the old girl got lots of attention and comment.....

Two things this past weekend: First, intentionally changed gear oil to redline. Very nice improvement in shifting. Second, unintentionally removed my front spoiler on the lip on my buddy's driveway. Also an improvement from a drivability standpoint. It freaking scraped on everything. I'm going to put it back on, but I don't want to.

Yep! Turbo twist like yours twist the opposite direction of my boxster twist wheels...Seems like they should have made a left and right side.
