Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

I think the car gods are transpiring against me. I need a new set of Z221 for 19th July. Hankook in NZ have only one z221 in C70 (soft) compound 265 x 35 x 18.....
I know its a real long shot but does anyone have a brand new Z221 in that size they are not using (Ill buy and replace).
Otherwise its back to the skins on my old track wheels (6 track days, 4000 km touring - slicks).
Cheers

Can't be sure until they drop the motor but looks to be a fitting again (3rd time in about 25,000 kms!). Yes getting them all tested, re-epoxied, pinned, and liquid metalled around the collars at Contis. Will take a while as Contis is backed up a little. Ron's 997 went the same way and he beat me to the towie and the workshop...
Taking suggestions as to what else to have them do while in there.

Hi Matt. I replaced the one with the screw in it in Feb before SITT. So that tyre only has 4 track days and 1500 touring km on it (65% worn). The other three have 6 track days and 4000 touring km on them and are basically shot (95% worn).
We discarded the damaged tyre taken off in Feb. The screw has torn the tread block wide and compromised the carcass.
I can run with three new tyres and the one which is 65% worn for HD on 19th as an option but Im not prepared to buy 3 new Z221 in 18" in C70 unless Hankook in NZ can confirm they are 100% bringing in new stock of this size/compound etc. Likewise if I find one to borrow I need to know I can replace.
Right now they can give no ETA on when the factory in Korea will produce its next run of Z214/221 motorport tyres. Hankook are checking to see if they have the 18" tyre Im after on their next order. Even if they do there is no guarantee these will be available by NITT.
Ill keep you all informed.
Just as a Plan B - anyone know of a modern compound R comp 18 that can be sourced offshore that is comparable with Z221 in terms of performance and reviews...? I need some ideas as a back up. Looked on Tirerack - but all the modern stuff like SportMaxx/Trofeo/Pilot Sport Cup 2 etc coming in 19 and 20" fitments only....

Dunlop DZ03Gs if you're prepared to spend a fair bit more? Although neither Chris B nor I liked them on his car, Steve and some others are big fans of them and they are very good/quick tyres, just have a different feel. Nigel has them on his 996.1 GT3 and turns excellent times. Just make sure you get recently manufactured ones, as Chris's were 5 years old (and that might explain why they felt odd).

BFGoodrich g-Force R1 might be an option?

Thanks Matt. I cant find the Dunlops on the Tirerack site so suspect they were locally sourced (which may account for your comment re price/value).
Jake. The BFG R1s are not dissimilar to the Hoosier R6 and hankook Z214 in that they are a slick with a radial groove and they are probably one step to far for my combined track/touring duties in NZ winter/summer wet/dry conditions. Otherwise they look like a fast tyre.
I should hopefully have word from Hankook today that they will be bringing i 18" R comp fitments in a future container which would allow me to use my one 65% worn tyre for the 19th then revert to a new tyre on that axle for the NITT. the other option is that the Z221 in 18 fitment for my car is available in Australia (15% cheaper) so could be possible to airfreight one over although it will work out probably 25% more landed in NZ and taxed but that's neither here nor there when you have an 85 hour bill at CCS to deal with....

Page 944 and no pic yet?
I can't find a good picture of the R1s sidewall to check, but like the Z214 they are probably not road legal in NZ.
Fingers crossed for your Aussie source.

This from http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...-r-specs.html:
"This is not exactly what you are looking for but last year my brother and I ran a TT series (22 track days). We ran NT-01 (100tw R-comp) tires for practice and Kumho V710 (30tw R-comp) for competition timed runs. Never felt the need for suspension changes although the added lateral grip did increase body roll a bit. The NT-01s were good for 50 heat cycles and the V710s were good for about 15hc before significant fall off in performance. In their prime, the V-710s were good for 2-3 seconds per lap.
These two cars finished 1&2 in a field of 10 for the championship series."

The NT-01s have a good rep for what they are, with good progressive noise and feel at breakaway, but I didn't run mine long enough at the Sprints to form a fuller opinion. For speed you could add the above V710s to the list, else some soft Ventus TDs as demoed there by ChrisB.

Hi guys
Just got the normal prestigio blurb regarding notification for the trackday for last sunday at Taupo (where I retired early with a suspected cracked belt), and I notice a new item:
You are required to have done prior Prestigio approved driver training event's before cover applies on this day. These must have been completed within the previous 12 months of requesting the track day cover.
The vehicle is covered up to the value of $300,000 Sum insured.
3% excess with a minimum of $5000 excess for the day.
No downloading of telemetry data or onboard computers whilst participating in the day. (may be done at home after event), no timing.
Vehicle must be in WOF condition whilst on the day (no slicks )
Driver must be named before the day and only that driver will be covered. This will need to be the primary driver of the vehicle .
Client must have a full valid NZ licence
No cancelations of the policy in the first year of any cover.
Cover excludes damage to other vehicles or other property.
Now, I managed to get a training session with Troy on the day - err, interesting experience - but he wants to send me a certificate. Shouldn't he just notify someone at Prestigio?

Well the 996.1 GT3 Sing import on TM just sold. Does anyone know who boxa11 (Murray)? I find it a little odd with the reserve met he's leading the auction with 9 seconds to go and he bids another $100???

Winner seems to have a history of BMW and Porsche ownership.
It was a nice enough example but will finish its days on the track or targa as dd manners not there. A bit too track focused with a LWF and tight gearbox.
Not sure how they will settle the sale as owner passed away.

I've done that before when forgetting to tick the auto bid option. In fact I did just that when buying my car
