I think that's the weekend of the Taupo enduro. Aren't you going to that anyway?

Anyone else come away from the Sprints with a bit of homework?
To your first point - I know the feeling - "there will always be cars, but the kids are only young once" said the wife.

What I took away was to not drive 997 GT3 Gen II's, as GT3's are the obviously solution for track days..............anything else is a compromise

Ferry doesn't look too happy about it.

They are a rather somber looking bunch aren't they.

Unlike these two. Harder to capture the movement and cars than thought:

Nice vid Matt

That N24 night and wet driving is just plain scary. Keen is an outstanding driver and pretty sure he has been on this forum. Used to run a gt3 road car with a few choice mods.
A few years ago I did think about joining the Kiwi boys at the N24 when they ran 2 civics. But imagine conditions like that and the RSR's and Audi's etc closing down the straight at massive speeds at night

Trouble for us amateurs is we can't get good at our computer key boards or lounge chairs. And it is a hobby afterall albeit quite expensive.

Don't be too hard on yourself. That's probably Vmax at 190km/hr. Must remember to take the inside line.

Looks like the fruit of an unnatural union between an early 928 and an S1 Lotus Europa. Unlike most Porsches it has not aged well, though some of its genes may have unfortunately still found their way into Cayennes

I think a Jensen Intercepter might have leapt the fence as well.....

Your mission is to turn that into a .gif with Ferry shaking his head side to side. It could catch on....

Ferry looks like he stepped on a turd in that photo. To be honest he must have been wondering if it was birthday =gift or a funeral gift. Apparently he was even less happy when he got the Panamericana (one of my favourite Porsche concepts) for his 85th. He died a few days later. I dont think they ever got a picture of him with it. He probably refused...

Not that interested. The wet gymkhanas we did at Mt Cotton were far more fun. They laid them out like a little road circuit using a large area of the pan. You got going quite quick in second gear and it was more like a mini race track. https://picasaweb.google.com/doughan...66968666203138

Hmmm soften the suspension, deflate the tyres, low end torque, it might work

I'm the same. Lets go for a 400km road run instead.
