Rear suspension is too soft John - NO WAY you should have the car on 3 wheels. Stiffer rear sway bar or more aggressive re-bushing needed.
You will not see anyone else's car on 3 wheels - especially to that degree.

re pads. Just to be the odd man out I have been using Ferodo DS 1.11 pads for some time now and very happy with them. I don't like having to push the pedal too hard and further like consistency of friction at constant pressure over time applied. See the link above. Part of my reasons for this is I do LFB and b4 I had the sequential box had to switch feet on the brake in order to clutch for downshift. So momentarily had both feet on brake and consistent brake feel/ pressure/ retardation important.
re pad deposits/transfer/squeal. I am pretty sure transfer and squeal is result of road driving on race pads where pads are too cold. This results in some of the softer compound (in the mix) wearing off exposing the hard part of the compound and it is this that grinds and squeals against the rotor. The transfer part is because the rotor is not hot enough to burn off the softer compound. My solution to this on Targa and it definitely helps is to block off the cooling ducts for touring and stages less than 13km if any and open otherwise. But if you are going to use the car as DD then you have to switch out the pads or find a compromise pad not an all out race pad.
Proper cooling ducts reduces pad wear significantly. I reckon maybe 20% over no ducting.

Yeah, unusually it was built in a RHD configuration for Le Mans for better weight distribution (clockwise circuit) and sight through right hand corners.

P.S. I prefer the Compags in your picture. They have may more "history" and IMO I find the Magnus wheels too fussy by design.

Interesting reading the opinion's on the Magnus phenomonom. Equal number of supporters and haters.
In reality, everyone who has a 911 and plays around with it is no different to Magnus, but on differing scales. He is merely leveraging his point of difference.
I prefer standard Fuchs to the new offering too. Or the campag's. Watch this space. I will do to cookie cutters what I did for D90's - make them a global phonomonom. Get a set while they are cheap.

Another RSG morning at CCS. Macca's father dropping off more parts. Jake in for some lowering springs. Walter and Ron's car in for water fittings. I was just getting a WOF for the 996TT.
Otherwise, ex Jon Sivvy car in for minor work. The same colour Blue Turbo 3.6 in for a new clutch. Parking lot is relatively sane there right now.

Dave. I think there is a bit of a jealousy thing kicking in somewhere. That said I visited Magnus's home/office in 2012 whilst visiting old LA on my way to Mexico/Cuba. Unfortunately he wasn't in at the time. This was before he became uber well known I guess. I liked the idea he was a bit fringe and was doing his own thing. Personally I think in 2013 he over exposed himself a little. Too much media, too wide to an audience that didnt necessarily understand then rebuked him when they realised they couldn't buy much of what he creates off the shelf. Its a bit like a marketing game. The cool kids are the first to venture into it, the masses want to be like the cool kids and follow them in, when the tents full of people the cool kids have already slipped out the door into another vendors tent. I think with cars you just have to do what you do and do it well but not take your mind of your craft and loyal custom will follow. You look at Nakai san & RWB, Colin and 9M and many of the hardcore European custom shops etc for examples. I like Magnus and I like his creativity and individualism. The appeal for me personally drops however the more mass market it is.

Burning Brakes
Mine squeal a lot, but to be honest I don't really think I'm getting them hot enough to break in properly.
AS some of you know I went through a lot of pads too, but haven't tried the Endless yet. Like Dave B I tried the Pagid blue 4-2 - they're only really a fast road pad. They also deposited badly for me - I had to turn the rotors down!
I think the PFC do well for the price, they are being raved about on the 997 forums from the US guys. But again I can't comment vrs Endless.

Matt runs the (I think) 06 in front and 01 at back. I run 08 all round, I think they are an endurance compound. Actually overwhelms the tyres until they get warm. They stop like the hand of god and apparently good almost till the backing plate by some comments on 997 forums.
