I think Chris has larger brakes, track pads, maybe wider tires, is running Hankook 221's (on his track rims) and modified his alignment to be more suitable for the track.

Hopefully Chris will chime in at some stage............

Here is the GPS track for Steve (Blue) and Paul (Green) in turn 10. I can't see Paul's double apex. From the relative positions before and after the turn it looks like both styles had the same outcome.

Would've thought the advantage of double-apexing T10 at HD would be to allow a longer and harder acceleration onto the main straight along with a straighter yet overall tighter exit line. From the plan view, it looks like the exit lines are the almost the same for these 2 runs though, with the double apexer actually running a bit wider on exit. It was Matts double-apexing at the sprints that originally got my attention but I think he 'false apexed' a bit later and then exited tighter to the pit entry. Haven't tried it yet but I imagine it would be tricky to get it just right.

According to Racing Ray's instruction to me there are two advantages, later breaking, and a longer exit line under full acceleration to take you right out to the outside of the track under full power, so that backs up what you're suggesting.

John - can you show the overlay of the whole lap - would be interesting to see?

I'll do it corner by corner tomorrow night. From memory there's not much in the other corners in terms of difference, except in turns 8 & 9 where Steve turns in earlier than you.

Hi. On the NITT I ran DG03's on standard wheel sizes with GT3 rotors up front, Pagid yellow pads all round, race brake fluid and GT3 brake ducting. Everything else is standard.

I've since taken out the Pagid's for road use as they are too noisy.

I've purchased an upgraded exhaust which I haven't installed yet and am looking at flashing the ECU, so great reading about that, thanks!

Getting some race numbers produced so makes sense to poll for more RSG banner orders. I have Chris B down for 2. Any other orders? We need 5 in total.

Black writing on white background for me thanks - need one for the 944.

See the bidding is up to $21.5k on the silver 964 tip... Not cheap if it were in need of a rebuild (not saying it is!)

I was thinking the bidding was suspect, but I know the person who is currently the lead bidder so looks kosher.

John. I will order 2 x white on red please in anticipation of the GT3.

P.S. I had the top of the rubber screen seal removed (easy to do) on the 993 and the spare banner I had installed & cut before the rubber was re inserted whist at CCS and it made for a faultless install FYI...
