Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

where did you go to north after Kawhia Harbour? There is about 10km of gravel but up through Marakopa is fantastic. Its a classic targa stage coming south - as good as Whangamomona in my view, often wet but even better when it is.

What's the 993 reference? Aren't you looking at taking the 991?
Doug ditched Lola for the Boxster. A theme building here. The word 'soft' comes to mind, although I'll put myself in that camp for track diversions. I'm not up for any track time in the Turbo 3.6.

However, this trip got me thinking that eventually I may run out of b-roads and may have to opt for a raised Dakkar style pcar. Ha! Bruce also has a crossover bike for exploring beyond the seal but it's not great for long tours like this (Dunedin to the far north and back) with two passengers plus luggage

In fairness John. yes I am. Not sure how much softer it is in reality to the 993 as it's least as firm and it's louder in the cabin from engine
Noise plus the stereo in the 993 sounds better by far. People probably surprised about that! But it has more space heated buckets and a more comfortable cockpit and it's less tiring for long journeys....for a proper tour more than happy to go the soft option....

With road tyres some spirited road time would work well. However some relaxed limited runs at Ruapuna with the Chch boys would be nice all the same

Yep I agree will worth the trip, the blast from Waitomo to Marokopa is a great drive for the P-car, especially once the roads open up a little. Some pics from a stay at Marokopa 2 weekends ago. Not my donuts on the breach Ill leave that to Doug and John..

Ha cheers,
You'd know what it's like with a dark car. They own you not the other way round. Saying that though one good cut and wax per season keeps it mint.

^^^ Nice Sam. Those empty twisty roads are something else. Would love to try them without the "govenor" in the passenger seat. Tried a little turn on Baylys Beach but had forgotten to turn off the nanny minder PSM. Once it was off it was lovely
