Metal Guru raved about it on his 3.3 so might be worth a look. Did your Indy give a reason for not liking the idea?

One thing is clear; you all spend way too much time at CCS...

A true longhood nut would have known about deep 6 Fuchs, it took me 35 years to work it out. It may take a while to eclipse the mighty macca on pcar knowledge.

Thanks John

I thought they might be from Otto Fuchs. Pity I missed the group buy on the 993 forum. I think they are the the dogs ... particularly with the ducktail

David. You are way too kind. You have already eclipsed me on longhood knowledge many times over!

Jason. Paul and I have goldenrod. Its seems to work fine. I get all my parts form FD Motorsports and they are good people.

Apart from his standard reluctance to modify at all he reckoned it would make no difference unless you RS'd the engine and tranny mounts. Might call his bluff and do that too...

What's a goldenrod? At the Beach this last summer there was this old guy walking around at all hours with only a pair of flappy yellow shorts and was tanned like an old leather couch. Bleached hair and gold adornments, he was sunbathing on the beach near a group of us and I alerted one of the ladies in my posse (yeah right) not to look when he was bending over re arranging his beach towel and of course she did, we called him Goldenrod after that.

Yes - but can't say I really noticed any difference, not compared to the difference of a wevo on a 915 box?

I have A1 tranny mounts and RS engine mounts. It makes a stock 993 sound a lot better as it increases vibration and therefore cabin noise (very slightly). I am pleased with the improvement. Given turbos are quiet cars, you might like the improvement.

It's also good preventative maintenance, as these are all old rubbers now.

P.s. you need to change Indy to another company like the rest of us have migrated too.

Did you change the mounts and the rod in one hit or did you get to drive in between?
