Fair enough, I wasn't aware of the attendees. So far only five of us have signed up on Rennsport. There must be a significant number of respondents out there yet to visit the Rennsport site.

No problem Phil. I'm not sure if you responded to Peter or not. I'm just mindful that the Gruppe finances take a hit if we don't get the numbers indicating interest to actually attend, or at least pay. Often in 2103 there was a core group we could rely on but four of them will be at Pukekohe. Maybe I'm thinking too far ahead.

Doug, this is what the straight pipe, primary muffler and secondary bypass sounds like.

Great video. Love the organic lift and precision center lock tool.

Happy to be an extra set of hands on a pit crew but have no experience whatsoever so may add risk more than value

Theoretical best is a 1:17.032, which looks plausible... just got to string together those good sectors. Chris's best from yesterday was a 1:17.620 with me weighing the car down, and a theoretical of 1:16.205... so got a bit of learning to go yet! Very much appreciate Chris giving up the car to me, most of the confidence is there now, much better than pootling around doing 1:30s which I started at yesterday.

Chris B is green, I'm blue:

Simple version is: brake later and less into T1 and T2, and brake early and less into T10. Need to review my video and make some detailed notes.
Matt - very interesting comparison. Here's 2 laps of mine from Sat (blue/green) and a reference lap from Feb (red). The reference isn't my quickest but demonstrates what these cars are capable of around turn 1. I'm feeling confident around the high speed corners (1 & 10) but have bad habit of braking too early and too much in the slower hairpins.

Top speed on the green lap must be a GPS aberration

Excellent, the pit crew has certainly grown. Somewhere in between would be good. Hopefully just fuel and driver change though!

Pete. Certainly looks like good speed through 1 and 10. The interesting part of the chart is the change between the blue and red line between Barrel 51 and the sweeper. I usually try and turn in late at Barrel 51, but noticed yesterday that when Matt turned in a lot earlier than I normally do the predicted time on the Aim improved, something for me to try out next time.

No, we settle on house I just sold in about 3 weeks. Wife told me it would be a "career limiting move" to buy a race car before getting another house.

Extra motivation to find a new house, but I think I am just the 'waterboy' for the next 4-6 months.

Interesting re B51 - I always go deep and late there to get a straighter exit, same at the preceding right hander. May try ducking in a bit earlier in both as its certainly where I'm losing time. Turning in earlier is probably also a better race line?

I gather you're not a starter for 7 June? When are you starting the 993 refurb? Have you done any research on repaint costs?

Hopefully Herman's back this week and Chris wins the Trademe Auction today. If the ducks start to fall into place I think I'll take the refurb route early as well...unless Lola turns in a 1:19xx in the meantime!
