Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

Graeme this was from my friend who was navigator for GT3 939:
"Everything with the setup on our car, dampers, shocks, exhaust etc was absolutely stock. It was only a few months old and had approx 800 miles on the clock when we started the rally. It's very well run in now..... :-)"

Any celebration of the Targa Tasmania needs its own theme music.
While this particular piece from 2014 was composed in Coventry rather than Stuttgart - it should stir the blood of any bona fide petrolhead:

Picking up car from OCD today. Gravel rash polished out so paint remains factory (and only lost a few microns), which I'm extremely happy about.
Back from a whirlwind trip to Melbourne to visit friends, spent a bit of time wandering around the city, a clear lack of any interesting metal other than a rather stunning 488.

Sounds great doesn't it Peter! The thing I was thinking when they told me about this is "how am I going to make my tyres last the distance!".
Glad the 997T cleaned up Jake. That potentially saved some money! Doesn't the 488 look fine. Havent seen one of these in the flesh yet myself...

Three Wheelin'
So unless you want a social time (and pay for it- like Gibbston) maybe shoot a few claybirds - I reckon the track side of things will be disappointing

boomrock is more like a social event. Muck around then have an afternoon lunch and a few vino's. Honestly nobody is going to go more than 60-70% on such a short and narrow track with no run off. A lot of the grass adjacent to the track is also not flat so if you get a wheel off it could be really bad. I made SITT (6000 km including tracks) with one set of tyres and then ran a 5th at HD with enough tread left over to make a further 1000 road km and 3-4 hot launches on the drag strip. So new MPSC2 will go the distance on the GT3 for SITT 2018 including the extras but by Ruapuna the tyres will be heat cycling out. No big deal as I could do with some extra rotation in T3 and the "bus stop" cambered hairpin. Heck I may even be faster there with cycled rear tyres lol!
Bring it on can't wait....
