You must have sold the 964 Turbo to Jon. Have you had no Porsche for 3 years or have you been in a place without Internet access for that period?

Yes no Porsche for the last three years. When i sold the 964 it was actually quite hard to sell. What a mistake that was. The car is currently in the UK on sale for 134,000 pounds. Here is the link still with my NZ registration plates on.

If it makes you feel better I had a Turbo 3.6 that couldn't sell for $110k in early 2014. It went to $160k by late 2014.

The buyer of your car sold it for $80k to a guy in Parnell and it was him that rode the price up.

I dont think so. Mine was a tourist delivery ex Germany original color was brown, and brought into NZ by a Gary Brown from memory. The car then received a new full paint job somewhere along its life to guards red. The car was totally striped for this paint job as no signs of the original color could be seen.
Attached is the only photo I have from the time I owned the 930 which i had for around 8 years. The photo is from a promo shoot that I did with a Lamborghini at the airforce base in Wheunapai.

My dad owned that car and repainted it from brown to red, and removed the tartan inserts. Do you know where is it now?

We went shopping at Browns Bay Palmer's Garden World in around 1987 and saw it in the carpark. Dad did the deal on the spot. I think he paid about $55k for it, which was share market crash adjusted, I remember seeing it for sale for $95K at Coutts about 1-2 years earlier. It got repainted as the car was tired when he first purchased, and resale red was the ultimate colour in the 80's. I think you paid $70-something through Noel Fava, who sold my dad's cars. I still have a cut out of the herald photo and ad at home.

Macca - not sure if you are aware, but Pel purchased the black 6GT3.

I was talking to the now previous owner who says he does 12's all day long in the car, it has modded suspension, intake, headers and exhaust, so is a second quicker than Nigel and I.

It will be interesting watching Pel get up to speed as they take a while to learn.

You need to hang out on FB more mate, we have softly abandoned this site as we can't control the lurkers and therefore speak freely without being at risk.
