Ok, that's done Phil. That leaves one white on Red. I'm happy to absorb that in my stock of parts.

I test fitted one on my Turbo 3.6 windscreen last night and have a plan of attack, although would be only too happy to learn from someone else. The big point is how wide you make the banner vertically. It has to be a certain distance to capture all of the lettering but not too wide that it interferes with road vision.

John. Its a black art. Follow the factory tint for depth. Just a bit lower than the factory tint line is perfect.

IMHO this is the best set of instructions on the web for installation (video). I stuffed two up before reverting to it.

Id imagine everyone got the playday newsletter with the 7th September Porsche Group session noted. I have now paid to confirm place and suggest others doing the NITT do likewise asap as it could book out quick...

John,

Not sure if you have seen this picture before. You might have to photo shop the rear spoiler.

Personally - I'm a whale tale man, so would leave on.

Macca, thanks. Dean and I can practice on your car this week

Paul, where did you get that image? Not genuine Fuchs but it gives me an idea what mine will look like when I get it back. They're still waiting for the clutch to arrive... I'm very unlikely to have it for more than a few days prior to the 29th. I'll get SRS fluid in, but otherwise we're looking at the suspension etc being no different to that before the incident. Don't imagine I'll have time to put on the ducktail and other bits. May not even have the Fuchs on if its wet. To make matters worse, Simon is a volunteer instructor on the day. I'm sure he'll be impressed with SUV ride height on Indonesian tyres.

Don't rush yourself - get the car right. It will be more rewarding.........

Just take the 996T.

There are a couple of Pclub sprint days coming up in July and August - these are fun.

John, The image came off flicker.

I always love the look of scaffolding (cage) through the rear 3/4 windows. It silhouette's the shape of the car in a more aggressive way.

Wise words. May take the roof rack off and add a Rennsport Gruppe banner. Or I can pimp out the Turbo 3.6 with a banner and scrub the shine off the tyres. I swear that they became polished during the gymkhana.

You are welcome. Just do a better job than I will invariably do with the install ok LOL!

I agree with Paul. Take your time and get the car set up right. You may have a new engine, clutch and transfer box but those wont throw you into a wall if they go bad. You may as well start seat time with the suspension 90% of where you want it and confidence it works as it should (the brakes too) otherwise youll do some laps and next time will need to re learn the car all over again. I have the same dilemma. I have RS front uprights, RS tie rods and some tasty Rennline monoballs and adjustable camber plates sitting on the shelf but Im loath to change the geo again having learnt a bit about the cars current set up at HD on the 29th!

Unlike me you have three cars to choose from if you want to get some driving time in on the 29th June. Take the TT and focus on position and lines IMHO...

The roof rack or the trailer? I have a roof rack on my 996 TT. Very solid.

No. But I know a few in he sates with them. Nifty but would imagine some bumper reinforcement needed. Ive always disliked driving with a trailer myself...
