I agree Paul. I should have been more succinct. I only really watch the 964/993 prices but across the three markets (NZ via TM, UK via Piston heads and USA via RL).

The earlier model aircooled (particularly pre impact bumper) have probably picked up in value % wise by most of all...

A sure sign that retailing is changed forever. Part ordered at 7:40 pm on Thursday from Design 911. Arrived at 3:30 pm on Monday.

Im sure the freight wasn't cheap!

You are right however. If it wasn't for women and a generally unaware public I suspect half NZ retailers would be out of business by now...

This really works best for sub $400 total cost as there's no GST or Custom Fee on that. Part was $260. Freight was $70. That's all she wrote.

The GST would be $39 so the NZ cost would have to be very sharp to compete even IF it could compete on service.

996/997 transmission mount. 158,000 km of Kiwi roads did this to the existing one.
luckily it's an extremely accessible part. Should be less than one hour to change.

They don't make them like they used to (964/993).

I forgotten what its like to have a number of older/ish Porsche's in the garage. Keeps you on your toes!

Tell me about it. My garage houses three cars with an average age of 18 years and 133,000 km on the clock. I enjoy them all, but it raises the stress level when they become high maintenance at the same time. I suspect the C4 has a few things coming up, but they shouldn't be urgent. Famous last words.

Yip I remember. Being a Virgo the stress of multiple unplanned large mechanical expenses used to drive me mad along with certain cars which were entirely questionable in there reliability full stop like the 968 6 speed I owned which basically continuously punished me for its previously unloved life in Japan by throwing bills and questionable reliability. Spent a fortune on that one. Left me stranded twice. Dont worry I spent a fortune on it when I got it to bring it up to my standard but some cars are just beyond salvation. The 993 was a doll though and its never soiled its record in 13 years other than a failed coil pack after along dyno session. Bit like tour 964T really....

You even managed to score a few extra shots on page 15 of NZCC Mark - advertising the online version. Car looks great (as always) and a bit of a contrast to the orange Beetle on the preceding pages!
