I decided against PP, but was going to go with FL6T Simple & only those who should get it, get it.

Nice spotting Pel. My best ever effort was "SORDID". I think that lasted on and earlier car for about 6 months. I obviously was punching above the average Kiwi vocabulary with it in any case as 3 in 5 people had to ask me what it meant??

IX is "9".

I initially bought it because its my favorite number. Im also a Beatles fan and it always reminds me of "Revolution 9" from the white Album which ends with the mst iconic of phrases I can never forget..."Take this Brother and may it serve you well..."

On the Rock my plate for last 10 years is 911 (all numerals). No one gets it so I tell them its my birth date (which it actually is). The local police must have liked it because there is a Police car in the capitol with the same plate since 2009! Go figure. Banana republic. My motorbikes here were ridden with years without a plate. I still have no idea what the speed limit is on most of the local roads I drive. Its enough to rememeber to drive on the other side...!

Another full on night. The rear bumper took 5 hours from start to finish. Can't wait for first light to get the full sense of the fit etc.

Oh man - yeah, 31 or was it 33 and the requisite rivets/screws are a PITA. I imagine 99% of 964 bumpers aren't reinstalled even close to properly.

Looks great, now for some daylight pics! My kids have woken me up, so I'll just wait and drink coffee.

But seriously, even from the garage shots, Hermann is looking fantastic & getting to see all the progress has been great.

Nicely done ...

#31 has the rivets. But really, 55 parts to create a bumper?

Thanks. What the photos don't show are the paint quality and contrast between the GPW and all the new parts. They also don't show the true proportions because the paint looks flat.

Doing work at night and seeing it in the morning is like arriving to a holiday destination at night and waking up to have a good look around at first light.
