Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

Fantastic Dave - she definitely deserves a Maccaesque photo shoot and article once the last pieces come together! Wouldn't have though it was possible for the inside to outshine the outside as she really pops, but I'd say you've managed it.

I think the Renault Sport products are great, I'm just not sure if I could bring myself to buy one personally, biased I know!
As you say, the Honda's are just great value for money and I love an engine that can rev. I've always been a fan of DC2 Integra Type Rs but they are getting hard to find in good condition these days and the final shape DC5s are easier to get hold of, plus the have the K20a which is an excellent engine. I will probably go have a look at one in the new year. To many cars on the wish list currently though (a couple of motorbikes too!) so some tough decisions will need to be made.

Dave. The project has no doubt given you alot of insight into the 1000s of small attention to detail that goes int a project like Singer. I have spent hours looking at their interiors from hand stitched leather covered roll bars to flow formed resin composite interior rear seat buckets and rear parcel shelves etc. Its not just the time it takes to make these things its the time that was taken building and discarding the dozen ideas before they got it just perfectly how they wanted it. Im not sure that honestly translates into a 400-500KUSD car but still...

While I'm not too hung up on perfection because that would betray the intent of the car, there is occasional disappointment when things don't turn out as I envisioned them. I've found this quite hard and even harder to just zip it and let them all get on with it. If it was an open chequebook resto I'd be halting progress and ordering rework all the time but it is a fine line between getting what you want and not inciting regular arguments. At the end of the day it is what it is and it has turned out Good. The defining part of the build starts now where some very minor things that need doing to a certain level will make it presentable as a $100k rebuild or not. (I understand the difference between that and a $150k rebuild). If those things aren't done, I will push on myself and work through them over time because there are some things you just can't stand back and look at and think that will do.
