Sudden thought re SITT - with all this changing of cars recently, just realised that I no longer have a fire extinguisher for the new one. Needed for Levels. Just in case the car swapping has caught anyone else out (Paul?). John will obviously have interchangeable parts from his stable...

I was selective. Just go to Ground sky, select the event and your name and it all comes up. Rather pricey though to get your pics sent to you.

What did you do with your old one? My new seats couldn't work with Andy's mount so Steve (at my request) bolted the holder to the transmission tunnel.

Also, did you sell your 964 seals with the car? I suggested to Chris that he get a set and just noticed that a kiwi approached the UK seller direct.

Pete. I think you already have me down but I need a set of 18" 3 piece wheels with Z221 transported to the SI (Queenstown) for the SITT. My new road wheels/tyres arrived with Dean today and the 991 is now 100% confirmed doing the SITT.

I brought Matt's bracket, but need to get an extinguisher.

I personally believe all Pcars need one - whether they see the track or not!

Agree on the need. We have a lot of hot parts in our air cooled engines that would easily ignite a fuel leak and the hoses are getting old.

Hi there. Any more details on the 928 collection? It looks like you have a few!

You have all probably read the rules for Levels and Highlands and know from the playday email today that there is a 95db restriction/sound check at Levels which the strictly police. Luckily Highlands is 65 on the boundary equating to around 104db on the track at its closest point to the boundary. In the PLayday newsletter on the SITT they made the comment that 95db was loud but I recall UK Pistonheads guys finding they were unable to participate on teh track after the UK tracks lowered their dbs to 94-97db at 4000 rpm a few years ago.

I was working today on getting a head-start on the GT3 compliance and upon pouring over the factory supplied COC I discovered what I suspected (and had rumoured to be true). The 991 GT3 makes 96db at 4000 rpm and in all likelihood would be too loud for Levels (tho ok for Highllands - a "non PC" race track).

Its very interesting. The 993 is subjectively fractionally quieter than the 991 GT3 at 4000 rpm but I would only guess around 1-2db so will be touch and go there. All of the RSG crew should be fine save Richard with his new GT3 tho they may let it go. Im not sure what Matts new exhaust is supposed to make at 4000rpm but suggest it may be close too - maybe 94db......
