Great to see all the lurkers and new owners introducing themselves recently, be good to get everyone together for a drive and a coffee sometime soon.

Would be well keen to see the 928 in person. I have a soft spot for them and find myself considering buying one at times. Am sure it's a fantastic car. Welcome!

I've been reading the posts here and haven't seen too many comments from 928 owners, love what you guys do with your 911's. I've seen a couple of cars about with the RSG banner/sticker in the city/Port/Wellesley St area.

I'm mostly on the 928 board reading up on tech as you need to do with a 928, but pop in here to see what is happening locally.

I've owned several P cars in recent years, always a good reason to sell for the next project... I seem to have a habit of spending money to get a car into shape only to flick it... and have lots of sellers regrets later.

My old Arena Red 993 Tip is now owned, I think, by 'Spokes' down in Queenstown, I've read a couple of his posts. Spent a small fortune on that car, now discovering how to spend money on a 928.

Cheers
Richard
Hey Richard, it would be great to touch base and hear about all the $$ you spent on my 993 Certainly adding my bit of $$ too. Into my 3rd year of ownership, and having sorted out a few body issues such as cracked door straps, etc, into the slippery slope of mods.

Great car the 968, my favourite outside the 911s.

Welcome aboard and do share your 928 trials and triumphs with us. I'm lucky with the cars I have but still miss my old 928 '79er. Brilliant machines - a german muscle car. Is yours an S4 per her looks?

Hi Richard,

That list of previously owned cars looks pretty good. I secretly want a 928 too but have never been brave enough. An early one in guards red with pasha and teledials

Not a fan of the wheels but that body is sex!! I have a not so secret shark fetish as well - just not a big enough garage to indulge it.

This option might have been cheaper than a rebuild?

Hi Guys

Thank you for the welcome, really appreciate it.

Spokes, I handed on
N all receipts to the guy in Tauranga who brought the 993 so would have hoped you'd have had the passed on. From memory repainted front bonnet, front bumper, front wings, rear wings and rear bumper repainted by Evans European - Owen did a bit of a 'friends' deal for me. Bilstein B8 struts, sway bar, protection bar from Carnewal, spark plugs, rotors pads, replaced that dodgy chip we spoke about with the original. Car was from whangarei traded via Giltrap Audi. I thought I had a vacuum leak and had that chased down but wasn't an issue.also put on the PS2's, I think they were 2's. I put in the front strut bar as well. That's all that comes to mind. Tearing up as I tap this in haven't added up those numbers for a while.... Wife never knew the truth.

928's are quite different to a 911 or 986, heavier in steering but hold speed really well through corners GtT vs sports car I guess. Make a lovely lub lub lub noise, if you like V8's! I still like flat 6's will return when circumstances allow, I made a mis step buying a new model RS4 traded the 996 Turbo and the wife won't let me forget it, another brain explosion by me.

Very keen to meet you all over coffee just may not be as quick as you all on the drive.

Great, looks like a fun project. If you need a second set of hands for some of the jobs give me a PM. I'd be interested to see what the shop-set belt tensions are like compared to mine. I bought a kriket tensioner tool, but it's a pretty cheap and nasty product with lots of room for operator error.
Hi guys, fellow 944 nut here. I have the arnworx belt tensioning tool, can bring it down to Auckland if you'd like to make use of it.
Cheers,
Mike

Had a 928GTs in Germany for 6 yrs/ 60+tkm. Great Car, but $$$ when something goes wrong. Lived in Cologne/Koeln. Greetings to the person who posted from Koeln above. Cool City. Koelle Alaaf!
928 very comfy & relaxed deep into 200 +km/h. Gets a bit light in front at 270!
