It is. it's been a little difficult keeping up the excitement levels one year on and with slow progress at times but now that it has some form to it I am starting to get more interested. It should go quickly now that it is close to being on its wheels.

Selling it? No. But I will give certain persons who are weak willed a fang in it and then they will be on the hook for when the time comes.

No, I plan for this one to be a keeper. Unless someone wants to swap for a GT3?

Sorry mate. I have photos of suspension detail which I'll post on your rebuild thread. The left front guard isn't on yet but left door is. Maybe ask Razzo to take some pics for you

A question for the younger forum members.

I had lunch with Simon G (anyone want to buy a 355) and mentioned the problem with learning to unwind the steering wheel. He said get a Playstation game and practice on that.

Which driving games are the most realistic for the PS3? Also is the Logotech G27 the best value controller?

It's supposedly a very good wheel, and I think the best option for PS3. When I started looking into building a rig I was considering that, a Thrustmaster, and a Fanatec. It gets expensive quickly...

Unsure about any of the games being overly realistic. Gran Turismo 6 is probably the best option, but I have no experience.

iRacing is relatively accessible, but you'll need a PC to run it on.

I found the same. iRacing sounds good until you realise you could easily blow $10k on a complete package to run it. The boys no longer use the PS3 so that's a better value option.

Can't help you with the gaming but that 355 would be nice. I haven't been following Fazza values much but they have certainly exploded more so than 911's.

I'm not sure how much he wants but i don't think it's outrageous. He has his eyes on another marque and the trade-in offer on the 355 wasn't great.

630kms later we are in Martinborough. 500kms is comfortable. More = stiff in a few places. Needed the radar detector today. Lovely light with the low sun coming into Martinborough

Well done Doug, real trooper. I find touring such distances a real chore as its too boring with all the enforcement risk these days. Targa experiences ruin normal touring ....

I found two nice B roads today which made up for it, although with the speed limiter sitting next to me I only got to scout them, no spirited driving. Now, how to "escape" for some real fun over the next few days
