^^^^^ Wow, I don't think I've ever been over ~225km/hr. And not while I'm driving too. Not many chances to do that speed down under (and not go to jail)

Cheers Mike, I'll take you up on that. The belts will need retensioning soon and I've read good things about the arnnworx tool. Those wheels in your avatar look good, reminds me how much I'd like some fikse fm10s.

Sorry to the rear engined and honda faithful, I'm sure normal service will resume shortly

Richard. Welcome on board. Always good to have something different on here. 928 is a car Ive always wanted to own. Projekt 928 book one of my all time favourite collectable Porsche books (I have a spare copy too if its of interest to you). The Land Shark was way ahead of its time. They look large in photos but are smaller than a new model 911 in real life! Great cars, real tech fest. Always hankered after one of the first without the door strips or one of the last GTS models. Probably will never have the space or patience to buy one but very envious none the less.

John, great work getting the Grinch on the 2K Cup page - it stands out very well and helps advertise RG group! You are the poster child of 2K Cup, not a bad win IMO!

Jamie. Wheels look great. Rubbing is odd as ride height looks reasonable so can assume its an offset issue. Two options. First is t increase negative camber a bit and see if that works. Im assuming you are sub -1.0 at the back there so maybe dial in -1.5 degrees and see if that cures the issue. Probably will but of not I still have that baseball bat and you know how its done now ;-) P.S. I think indeed the centres would look bettr black biut thats a job for later I guess...

Doug, apart from the track Ive never exceeded that speed on the road in NZ in any of my cars. However the autostrada/autobahn etc is different. I was still in "run in km" with the GT3 so it never saw more than 240 or 250 kmph. But on the roads over there it was like doing 120kmph on our chip seal roads!

J, Nice wheels, I prefer the all silver. Although, black would be brave.

Looks like you have removed the side indicators?

Thanks. That's Chris B driving at HD. A great shot.

We have decals to make BB into RSG3 and complete the team livery. Simple but stands out. That said some of the teams turned up with painted matching livery so we are nowhere near the peacocks out there.

The 2k part is in name only for most of these cars once the racing prep costs kick in. It's still cheap racing though. I don't think Walter and I would be in a grid otherwise.

To the wider BB ownership we are looking at entering her in a race soon. It's no harder on her than the beating she had taken over 75+ sessions at HD.

How many of the non RSG race owners are interested in racing? You need a class C licence. I think that would be Doug, Ralf, Matt G, Peter as possibles although I think Peter has had enough of her. We need to work out an equitable use plan so as not to usurp ownership rights but also be more involved than turning up. We are thinking about a working bee to fix up minor things on the cars.

Got it, thanks Graeme. I will watch the videos and check against your notes tonight. Btw I have a sense my turning is why I'm slightly slower. Too much lock in turns. I need to set then unwind to stop scrubbing speed. Just getting rat right is worth a couple of seconds.

Why would you put an inferior engine into your car?

Unless it was a Mazger??

These cars handle well at speed. I have seen an indicated 300kph from the driver's seat of a 996 Turbo, and it felt a lot more settled than the 225 odd top end of an early 928, though later 928s have a lot more power and much better aero. I have traveled in Europe too - it's funny that we call some of our roads motorways when they are limited to just 100 kph.

Been faster in China though, where the Shanghai-Hangzhou commuter bullet train got us to 341 kph. A test train on that line once got to 416.6 km/h.
